I just have to post this here following gathering information on this weeks 'REAL FOOD' deal.......
It's basiclly a summery of what i've been posting and finding out on the food shopping thread....

    This weeks deal items...
    http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Recipe/default.aspx?listid=Chicken+and+leek+pot+pies&items=66632424,66803326,60598370,61228174,54489393,66936819,51580260,50360954,52260983,&qty=1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,&purchase=purchase,purchase,purchase,purchase,purchase,purchase,storecupboard,storecupboard,storecupboard,

This didn't look as good as last weeks deal so I looked into it further and came to the following conclusions as to why NOT to buy this weeks deal......

The pre packed leek pack is double the size you need, and almost twice the price of buying loose ones.... what you need for the recipe would cost 60p loose.

You can get enough single cream for 52p for 150ml, if you get the bigger pot would half end up going to waste?

I got last week’s deal which also included a jar of whole grain mustard, and used one spoonful which means I have enough left to last me 2 years!

Puff pastry may be tricky to make and worth buying, but there isn't much easier to make than short crust pastry!

Stop trying to con us Mr T ..... Please can we have a sensible real food recipe again next week!

Also got this in b*ll*h*ll For £2. HTH

Mr T just for you :rotfl:

I know not all your trout’s are thick
But some manning the self checkouts
    don’t miss a trick.

I scan my PDF`S and all seems well
So why do they ring their bells?

To get a manager to check them out
It makes me want to scream and shout

    My vouchers are all legit
    Do I fancy prison?
    I’m not that thick.

I’ll be back, wearing different clothes and a wig
    you’ll know it`s me I`ll be doing a jig.

    A DTD on some telly’s
Would make a nice change from eating free jellies.

My family enjoyed the cheap special K bars
    For a change next time
    Please make it on mars

    Christmas is coming
    The season of goodwill
Please keep reducing my food bill

    I will send you a card, I’m no b*tch
Hoping to find one with a glitch.

I will see you again, this week I hope
And if you promise not to be mean….
I will even let you sing to me my favourite song…….Come on Eileen xx :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Am putting some thought into my code name at the moment;)
Just got back from T's and the candles are still £1.50 for me:( But wasnt a wasted trip as sitting on a top shelf was a lonely morphy richards filter kettle that scanned at £5 and my brother really wanted one:T So these electrical bits & pieces are still out there, it's back to the old trick of "looking up" ;)
    Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:
  • Well, my online order for 10 71p irons and 4 mobiles was cancelled 2hrs before the delivery slot...no substitutions. The guy on the phone had the cheek to tell me off for 'bulk ordering' from the grocery site!! I told him the items showed as in stock on the grocery site and the site let me order the number that I did, so I did nothing wrong, to which he replied 'the site's not designed for that'. Not even an apology for the cancellation and he really was quite rude.

Tbh I wasn't really expecting the irons to be delivered, but wasn't expecting a rap on the knuckles either! After all,10 of an item is hardly 'bulk buying' and it's not my fault the grocery site shows elecrical items as available when it's OOS. Considering now whether or not to complain about his attitude...?
