Tesco DISCUSSION, grabbits and misprices thread 11+

they should give you DTD.
i.e. for the £20/£40 item, you should have got that for free and for the £12.50/£20 item, you should have got that for £5.
they told you a load of cobblers.
Unfortunately this is not strictly true... It is not a pricing error and if the SEL does not match the product they do not have to give you DTD as otherwise every would just move stock from one place to another and claim DTD (How easy would it be for me to move 3 or phones from one place where the SEL says £110 to one where it says £55 and claim DTD?)
Some stores will honour it but they do not have to... they only have to honour it if the SEL description and/or barcode match.0 -
I got this from another Tescos thread but it works as I've just got 2. The Tesco Greener Living 1 hour charger with 4 AA batteries which includes plug and incar charger is scanning at £2 instead of £20. I got mine in B'p00l but I know the orig poster said its working in NI too.0

Candle - Airwick Fragranced candle 'Berries and Spice' Price cut from £3 to

Can't quote who was the OP as I copied info to my word document, but thanks to them anyway.
the 'Other Tesco' thread is the now 'sticky' tesco misprices on the main grabbit board, but the elite 11, (and elite +, that hopefully includes me, lol) seem to mainly just read there and post here.

When we complained at customer services they basically said night staff had stocked wrong and tough. Can they do this or should they sell at the sel price. Didn't want to argue as hubby was there dying of embarrassment. Thanks any help would be greatLondinium33 wrote: »Unfortunately this is not strictly true... but the op did not mention about any mismatch between the item and SEL description. (i do agree though that DTD may not be given in examples such as yours).
sounds like another tescoism from what the op described.:grouphug:Official MSE canny forumite and HUKD VIP badge member

I see what you are saying... but the OP did say that the night staff had stocked wrong, which led me to believe that they have just put the item in the wrong place rather than the SEL matching and it being a genuine price error.0 -

 Eileen, I have had a little luck.... just pester them lads at the Electrical desk :rotfl:.... last week I took about 12 items in one lot, I only ended up with one bargain from that load, but about 4 'good ones' in the entire shop, and some from about a week before, so not giving up hope here. After they scanned the moon dough they soon sent a few staff scarpering round to get what they wanted! (ie, shelves were cleared!) I noticed the other day they still had a few of the 2 person girly tents in pink and orange, I got one for neice with the last matching sleeping bag, loads cheaper than the SEL if you know anyone who may be interested. Have a few chrimbo pressies sorted, yay! Wouldn't it be nice to have a better stocked store though!
So I am sure she will get my emphusiasm going again soon
