    EON won't !

Why not send a PM to Malc? - see if he can check the current process and clarify and maybe even help you get your certificates back?!

Just spoken to EDF, as my FiT submissions were both rejected, but when I tried again, I was told I'd already supplied them.

They have a computer problem, they do know, they think it's accepting the readings, but they aren't sure, and their phones are lighting up!

I joked that end of month, and end of FiT period before rates change means it's gonna be a fun two days there, and they said yep!

So if you're having problems you might want to ring the green team on the freephone number 0800 4049087 ....... but there may be a queue. :(

    Hi Martin,

I did do a post ( #953 ) about EDF at the beginning of the month about problems they were having then.

My monies were paid in under 2 weeks from memory and I was told that the computer issue was resolved but it seems that it may be back ...

Submitted my reading yesterday, but I got an error message and no email confirmation.
Submitted this morning again, all fine and got a email confirmation.
This afternoon I received a BACS payment statement by email on the basis of yesterday's reading. So yesterday's reading was accepted after all. :o

I couldn't see a facility to PM him either. However, his MSE public profile does list an email address for him :-

Just a short note to EON - The application form doesn't make it clear that you can send copies of everything with your application . It does say you can send copies of your Passport but not any other items like your MCS cert or the EPC cert ! It should say copies are allowed as now my EPC cert and MCS have been destroyed as they won't return them !
I a quite deliberate about paperwork and forms having been a Police Officer for 30 years! That job revolves around being VERY specific and adhering to what is written to the letter .

Where it does say that you can send copies is on the website ! Well when filling out a form you don't look at a website , do you ? The instructions on the form are quite adequate apart from one really important bit ! Also people don't always have access to the internet

If you can pass this on MALC ?

PS - Will i ever need the certificates again ? Can i get copies or new originals ?

    Hi Minrich

You're right, the application form doesn't make it clear copies of the MCS and EPC forms will be ok. It does state this on the covering letter we send with the application form and, as you say, on our website but not on the actual form itself. I'll be happy to feed this back.

Did someone at E.ON tell you the forms had been destroyed? We need these certificates for our records so certainly can't see us doing that. It may be you spoke to someone outside of our FIT team who isn't up to speed with what happens? Sorry if this is the case. For this type of query it's always best to talk to our FIT specialists. Contact details are on our letters and website. The team's available from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and on Saturdays between 8am and 6pm.

An EPC is needed when you buy, sell or rent your home. I've just spoken to our FIT guys and they've told me they can be printed off the online EPC Register. Alternatively, talk directly to our FIT team or drop an email to me. I'll be happy to ask the question.

MSE don't let company reps use Private Messaging but the address EricMears posts is good. As he says, it's also in my Profile. Thanks Eric.

    Hope this helps Minrich.
