It'll be an interesting comparison. I too got my reminder this morning.
I'm taking the view that I'm better at the front of the queue and I'd rather have their money (well, my money) in my account as early as possible - I've already submitted.

I'm with SDJ, as EDF seem to pay up on mass, or at least may have during the last couple of claims.
However, for the purposes of playing this game, I'll try to remember to submit a reading in mid June, to see how the payments dates compare.

Well I'm sticking to end of month. Makes sense for them to trigger all payments at once and their stated terms say within 90 days of end of month. But we'll see.0

Last time round I submitted a reading taken on 16/3 via EDF's online submission page on 22/3 and payment was received 27/4. I'll submit on the last working day of this month (29/6).Cider Country Solar PV generator: 3.7kWp Enfinity system on unshaded SE (-36deg azimuth) & 45deg roof0

Received my FIT contract from Eon this morning. Confusing or what!!!
In the covering letter it states
"In order to calculate your quarterly FIT payments, you'll be expected to provide us with generation meter readings every three months from your start date" (17th Feb 2012)
On the FIT statement of terms it states
" Your Generation Tariff payment is due to you every three months, subject to us receiving valid meter readings within the required timescales"
But, reading through my FIT plan payment details it states
"Your first generation meter reading is expected on 17th August 2012"
Has anyone else received similar from them. If as per their instructions I give a meter reading on 17th Aug 2012 that will be 6 months after I had the solar installed. Then there will be a further delay for my payment, possibily 45 to 60 days. So It could well be 8 months from installation that I actually get my first payment.
When I get more time later today I shall read through the terms and conditions thoroughly before I get in touch with them. If we have a contract with them surely they are in breech of this?
Can anyone help me out on this please?
Many thanks

Looks like they want you to submit exactly every 3 months after your start date. The first such period ended on 17th May (ie before they got the contract to you) so the next slot is 17th August.
As you say, you've received the contract today, neither you or EON are bound to it until both parties have signed it.
If you have a reading from mid-May I suggest you put a formal complaint in writing if you feel you will be disadvantaged by having to wait until after August to receive your first payment, and suggest they arrange an interim payment based on the mid-May reading.Cider Country Solar PV generator: 3.7kWp Enfinity system on unshaded SE (-36deg azimuth) & 45deg roof0 -

Hello
Thanks very much for that!! Shall get the contract off to them as soon as possible. And yes I do have a generation meter reading for 17th May so shall include that with my application with a letter to them as well.
Thanks again!

Just to show how a decent company works !
Reported readings on 15th May
Money in bank today (1st June)
Company is Scottish Power of course. Why can't the rest work to that standard ?NE Derbyshire.4kWp S Facing 17.5deg slope (dormer roof).24kWh of Pylontech batteries with Lux controller BEV : Hyundai Ioniq50 -

If Scottish Power can manage it, so can EON - except that they can't be bothered to. All we get is platitudes from their Company Representative every so often, but nothing ever changes.
The moral - avoid EON for your energy supplies and get your power from a company that takes its customers more seriously.0 -
