I came here to post that I'd just got my EDF remittance advice, just 1 month after I submitted the reading and find a complete EDF love-in going on!
So, I have to say "Well done EDF!" ...and payment arrived today 27th April. This is within 30days of the end of the quarter. Judging from other's comments the payment time isn't affected by the reading date during the quarter-end month (March).
Well done for EDF for improving the payment speed, but don't rest on your laurels - there's always room for improvement.Cider Country Solar PV generator: 3.7kWp Enfinity system on unshaded SE (-36deg azimuth) & 45deg roof0 -

I don't think you'll be very surprised to learn that I have not yet received my money.
I spoke to EON on Friday - absolute shambles - apparently they have a high-level of 'sickness absence'.
Quite frankly I won't be surprised if some of us never get our FIT payments, seeing the mess EON are in at the moment. If this is what they can do with a simple clerical procedure then thank heavens they have pulled out of the running to build nuclear power-stations in this country! :eek:0 -
In Nov 2011 I installed a 4kw solar PV system at my home and submitted it to my energy supplier EDF by 07/12/2011 in order to get maximum FIT. By the end of January I was getting concerned that I had'nt received my contract from them and began contacting their green team to see what was happening. I was told that they had a backlog of applications but my contract would be through and to me by March 2012. Its now the end of April and I still have'nt had the contract or any payments and continue being told that they are now dealing with Decembers applications and therefore my contract should be with me very soon. Same old story as previously so I decided to make a complaint. It appears that to make a complaint by phone will cost you at premium rate so I decided to use their Email complaint contact service which they state will be answered in 48hrs. Its already been a week and still no response from complaints. Are these people benefitting from delaying the payment process. When borrowing the money to make the installation it seems very unfair that repayments on that loan calculated on the rate of FIT returns still have to be made to my detrement whereas the energy supplier is probably making money on this and thousands of other contracts which are in this delay status. Is there anyone else in this predicament

Try looking up your premium rate number on http://www.saynoto0870.com and look for alternatives.

<EDF woes> Is there anyone else in this predicament.
I've been there, done that, got the t-shirt. Afraid it will probably be quite a while before you see your first credit hitting your bank account. At least EDF have acknowledged your application so there is no doubt you beat the deadline. I got some compensation for the delays sending out the contract, but this was just one element of a larger complaint (submitted via email). The complaint response time exceeded the automated reply quoted turnaround time. The complaint relating to the FiT delays read as follows:4. Failure to supply Feed-in-Tariff contract
My Solar PV FiT application (customer ID: xxxxx sent on xxth October) was acknowledged on xxth November and I was advised that a FiT contract would be provided. 2 months later I have still not received this. As the eligibility date was xx/10/11, I am due to submit my first quarterly reading in the next few days in order to receive the first FiT payment, but still do not know how this should be submitted.
I’ve no doubt that the delay will result in knock-on delays to the first FiT payment, and in the meantime have to keep paying our EDF direct debits from the family budget rather than from the FiT income.
IIRC the above complaint yielded £30 compensation for poor customer service.
Our install date was late October, we got our first cash shortly after submitting a reading with the signed contract in Feb. We just received our 2nd payment covering the period between the Feb reading and the March quarterly reading.Cider Country Solar PV generator: 3.7kWp Enfinity system on unshaded SE (-36deg azimuth) & 45deg roof0 -

Hello Margin
Maybe all of us that are waiting for our contract or fit payments from E.on should consider cancelling our Direct Debits with them and see how they like it!!!!

If you look back, you'll see similar complaints from many of us who went through EDF. I installed in November and it was initially predicted that it could be March before mine came through, but it did - slightly earlier than was feared, and I now have the first payment in the bank. Notwithstanding a !!!!-up on the processing of your contract, EDF do seem to come though roughly when they say that they will. There have been some positive postings on here recently about EDF.
I'd chill if I were you, and save your ire for the government who caused this mess.4kWp, Panels: 16 Hyundai HIS250MG, Inverter: SMA Sunny Boy 4000TLLocation: Bedford, Roof: South East facing, 20 degree pitch20kWh Pylontech US5000 batteries, Lux AC inverter,Skoda Enyaq iV80, TADO Central Heating control0
