    EDF Super quick again .....

Meter reading submitted Saturday 1st December and received email confirmation of BACS payment this afternoon - Monday.

Can’t believe it can get any quicker.
Again, for information purposes, we are no longer an EDF customer for our electricity supply so it’s great to see that there is no ‘ funny business ‘ happening with deliberate FIT payment delays.

Great work EDF - just a shame you couldn’t be more competitive on your electricity supply costs.

    Cheers
    Nobby.

Is anyone on here with Bulb for the FiT? They supply our energy at the moment, and I'd like to know if anyone else has any experience of them with the FiT (our solar panels should be fitted mid-Dec!). :j

I would assume that energy companies make a profit from our solar generation, so they would offer some form of incentive if we sign up for all three - solar, supply of gas and electricity.

Not sure how you work out they're making a profit. They pay us 50p per kWh we generate and sell it on to customers at 16p per kWh. By my reckoning that's quite a loss.

I know that's not how it works and it's funded by a levy but playing devils advocate at the profit suggestion.

Out of interest does anyone know if EON accept new FIT customers? I'm with BG at present but the cheque payment system is getting tiresome even though they are quite fast to pay
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

From the EON Feed-in Tariff application form:
This Feed-in Tariff (FiT) application is for customers who have an E.ON electricity supply, or whose energy supplier doesn’t offer FiT, and want E.ON to make FiT payments.

No but I'm thinking of giving them a try - just got to find my MCS certificates! I've been with Bulb for over a year but still getting FiT from Scottish Power, who are OK-ish. https://account.bulb.co.uk/fit-signup
2kWp Solar PV - 10*200W Kioto, SMA Sunny Boy 2000HF, SSE facing, some shading in winter, 37° pitch, installed Jun-2011, inverter replaced Sep-2017 AND Feb-2022.
  • Sign-up for Bulb looks quite straightforward, so I'll probably give it a go...

Since some people get paid for their generation within the week, My FIT provider, Good Energy, takes over 2 months. So I guess they don't want my custom?

It’s time for you to provide us with your Feed-in Tariff meter reading for this quarter. We’ll need your most up to date reading before 21 December 2018. When your reading has been processed and accepted, you'll be paid by 28 February 2019.

From the EON Feed-in Tariff application form:

Hello jimjames and The Green Hornet is spot on - thanks The Green Hornet.

To confirm, we only accept FIT applications from existing E.ON electricity customers unless their current supplier isn't a mandatory FIT licensee or if the customer isn't connected to the national grid.

If you're one of our electricity customers and are interested in our FIT scheme, there's an application form and more information on our website.

Hope this is of interest jimjames.

  • :jAt last! cheque arrived today. Reading despatched 24th Aug so they only missed their target of processing payment within one month, by a week! Hope it doesn't bounce.:D
    No, it didn't!

Not only that but our second submission took precisely a one week to process and for the cheque to arrive on our doormat. Well done BG, that's the way to do it. :T

Quite how other poor souls get on who live in the country with no bank or post office close by, I can't imagine.

Do E.ON reply to say they have received an application for FIT ? I applied last week via email but haven't heard anything, my current supplier isn't registered for FIT.

I don't want to wait weeks and then find out they haven't received it or I have something wrong.

    Cheers
