Does anyone know how long Scottish Power take to register you onto the FIT. I sent my info off and they asked me for my initial reading. But I haven't had my welcome letter yet and it's been over 4weeks now. I know everything I sent was accepted because I spoke to them but didn't imagine it would take this long to go that next step

    Thank you

Well Good Energy are about as slow as you can get. Sent forms off via email 14th August, got the welcome letter to say I was registered with the scheme and sent back part with bank details and have heard nothing since.

So it has been nearly 4 months and still not properly on Good Energy's system. Very poor.

Update on my last post is that I am still waiting for my welcome letter. I thought I would be due to be submitting my first quarters reading next week but no luck. I did call and was told they have a backlog and my application was progressing. Has anyone submitted a FIT application to Scottish Power since end October and had their welcome letter already?

    Thanks

I moved into a house and took over Solar Panels from the previous owner.
I sent the change of responsibility forms to Scotish Power on August 19th, but registration wasn't complete until December 1st. I submitted a reading on the same day, and received payment on Jan 11th.
Keep phoning them, the people there are very pleasant!
  • I got my letter through today :)

Congratulations. That's a whole lot stress sorted. Mine (with EON) came through last week which was a relief. The fear that it would all get mucked up and I'd be left out in the cold was a worry
