A quick wahay for E.ON - who updated my bank account, processed my payment and got it into my bank within 7 days - and that isn't working days!
They really have got this sorted now.0 -
EDF.
Excellent turnaround by them.
Received email request from them for latest reading on Tuesday 2nd Sep.
As usual for us we emailed meter reading same day.
Just received BACS payment confirmation & £770 on its way.
From previous experience this will show as pending as a payment into our account when I check online banking tomorrow.
Great to see them handling the FIT payments so efficiently.

I've just given my first quarterly reading (3rd Sept) into first Utility.
They have come back advising I should have the payment by early December!!
I've not read through this thread so there could be warnings that First Utility are slow in paying however I am posting this as a heads up to anyone else thinking of claiming FIT payments through them.Bury - 4.96kWp system

Excellent turnaround by them....
Nobby.
You spoke too soon!
Went on-line, clicked on the link, logged in (FIT No and email address) and got "An unspecified error has occurred...."
I tried again and was told that I couldn't submit as I'd already submitted my reading (which I hadn't, as I hadn't got that far).
I called them and they said that they are having a problem with the site so I gave my reading by phone.
Still, they admitted the problem, apologised and said it would be processed promptly - so full marks EDF.4kWp, Panels: 16 Hyundai HIS250MG, Inverter: SMA Sunny Boy 4000TLLocation: Bedford, Roof: South East facing, 20 degree pitch20kWh Pylontech US5000 batteries, Lux AC inverter,Skoda Enyaq iV80, TADO Central Heating control0 -
Hi orrery,
I always follow the link from the email ( the one saying it's now time to submit a reading ).
I did have a problem a couple of quarters ago where it turned out they were having I.T. issues but from memory it was all sorted and paid in about 10 days - still a lot faster than some stories posted here.
EDF really seem to be on top of things now.
I can still remember though the early days of having to wait too long ( though still within their t&c timescales ).

Thanks for the wahay Seanymph. Nice way to end the week. For me anyway - some of my colleagues are working tomorrow. I'll send this on to our FIT team too as this service is down to them.
Thanks again and have a good weekend.

We had our panels fitted mid June and are using British Gas.
Can someone please give any advice on when and how they ask for the readings and how quick they are with payments.
Cheers.Jane x0 -
Hi Saxoman
I have my fit with BG and they send you an email a couple of days before the quarter is about to end. this is from the date you registered
your system.
Just follow link from email and input figure from generation meter.

WOW !
Emailed my latest FIT reading on Monday and email received just now confirming BACS payment details.
Excellent service from EDF again.
It seems there is no longer a possible delay for submitting your readings early in the month.
Happy Generating ( when the sun thing comes out that is ! ).
