Not bad for £5. I did try to post a picture, but it didn't work.:mad:Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless. ~ Mother Teresa0

You are right Emmy, I love doing all that stuff with nephews and neices, god children etc. Just don't ask me about my "Captains Log", sister and brother in law still recovering from it.
Bebelle75, don't knock Mr Petrol Station as you might need him yourself one day. A 30 second stop at the petrol station saved me many a time when I have had to eat humble pie or for turning up late ("Sorry I am late I was busy buying ya flowers and the queue was massive"). Works every time.
Cutsee, love the big bird image ya painted in my head, can imagine him sitting down to Alphabet soup etc.
Downside of it all is everybody gets to see the pics she takes and they see what a saddo I am ;-)0 -

Whilst reading MSE, I stumbled on an old thread about making sweet boxes up to give as gifts and I thought it was worth a mention as this sounds a sweet (sorry) Valentine's gift.
Use a craft/hobby/tackle/tool box and lay the sweets out nicely or do what I'm doing and buy a gift bag with hearts on and fill it with bags of your other half's favourite sweets.
Alot cheaper than buying a ready made sweet hamper and so much more thoughtful.
There's lots of inspiration and some photos of examples in this thread: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=2967990 -
