Just adding £3.95 from free delivery. I've been waiting for a dress to come back in stock at Very so I've ordered it in two sizes (just to be sure!), managed to get free delivery by choosing to pick them up from a Collect+ store - this is the first time I've managed to do this as almost everything I order isn't available for Collect+, so I'm adding it as I really expected to have to pay delivery costs.

Well I'm still quite short this month - can't believe I'm not going to make target when I've had such a good month! Damn me for upping my target  lol. Got a few things waiting to come through - Mysurvey, McCains, the Gumtree paypal deal (although that's definitely going to be next month), and another car insurance cheque, but don't think there is anything coming that will tip me over target.

I know they had a backlog but even people were waiting for e-voucher for amazon, that can't be normal! maybe it has gone missing in the post.

That will be just my luck!

Can I ask all the experienced ebayers how much you add to items to account for packaging costs, eg if the postage would be £3.50, how much would you allow to account for boxes, bags, bubble wrap etc ?

I echo the others and tend to use recycled packaging. Never had a complaint yet.

I've not emailed them myself as they say that it can take up to 4 weeks, which is about how long I've been waiting now. I think I remember someone getting a reply from them a week or two ago saying that they would all arrive by the 28th? Not sure if that will still happen though
    .

I'll let you all know if i hear anything back. Really hope i get it because it was gonna be a christmas gift for someone :o

Well, got 13 things listed. Tired now.... Time for a break. Will do some more photographs tonight before bed and do listing preparation for the weekend. Shame its not a free listing weekend, then again i ted to just start most things at 99p. I find i get more sales that way. Todays listings were 10 day ones so won't end til a week on sunday!

Come on everyone!!! One final push this weekend to make some pennies to hit the targets for Monday evening! :rotfl::beer:

I've now hit my target for first time :) (2nd month of doing challenge)

Adding some money saved from coupons for free pasta sauce :)

I hope things get better for you soon Aesop :)

Fairyclicks? I think it was you- you mentioned something about bank charges? Could you give me a bit more info please?

I've been reading up a lot about the ppi and cc charges on here - it is a bit confusing one thread says you can claim and another says you can't :o but i figured i would just give it a go and see what happens - bit like the comps thing - if you not in you can't win right?? LOL Apart from that i know you can ask for fees to be refunded on regular bank accounts if you can prove financial hardship (out of experience i have learned this rather than reading!)

If you want to tell me a few more details like what kind of account and what type of fees you want to claim back i could give you more of an answer or direct you to to some info that i have found! :) xxx

Thanks for your replies, I have been 'marked down' (but still positive feedback) by someone, and I think it was one where I had to use a new box and charged about 50p on top of postage to cover it.

Think that 50p for packing is very reasonable. Postage & packing is called that for a reason. It is not just the money you pay over to the Royal Mail but has to cover packaging, tape, fuel/transport to the post office, your time... 50p is cheap! Looks like you were dealing with a miserable eBayer there.
  • Lolly101 - I managed to buy something from Mr S toy sale on line and will collect it tomorrow (cutting down on p & p).
Delighted, managed to buy a windmill house for my Niece at half price so she has a lovely C*mas pressie! And all for what I would normally pay:)
Not counting this as making money as it was reduced to the price I would normally spend on her.

Just wanted to say hi - stumbled across this thread last week and am planning to join you for the first time in November. Have been getting prepared by having a huge wardrobe clearout and am preparing to get the old Ebay sales going.

Lolly re: the sainsburys sale. I went this morning and managed to get a fair few bits. I think it is on for 7 days, but there is some speculation it is on for 2 weeks. They do keep getting deliveries and restocking so it is worth regularly calling in. Some go crazy on the first day of the sale and the shelves often get stripped - but then you will find a lot of folk returning items over the next few days when they get home and realise that they don't need it all. I generally find it better for presents at the 15.00 and under mark. Picked up some Cars 2 lego sets, HM forces figures. moshi monster stuff and some games. More popular stuff like larger lego sets, dancing mickey mouse etc are going to be harder to find now. You never know though!
