Oh yeah, and this morning I was given 2 cucumber seedlings by a lady at coffee morning, so they are now sitting on my window ledge next to my petunias

I was also given 2 cucumber seedlings last year. However, I managed to kill them by putting them out before the last-frost. So, this year's seedlings are staying in my porch until June.Mortgage: @ Feb. 2007: £133,200; Apr. 2011: £24,373; May 2011: £175,999; Jun 2013: ~£97K; Mar. 2014 £392,212.73; Dec. 2015: £327,051.77; Mar. 2016: ~£480K; Mar. 2017 £444,445.74

My huge pot of bolognese went further than I thought. I've made 2 family lasagnas and 1 small one for just me and manwife, plus 2 portions of bolognese to have with pasta - 1 family size, and 1 family size plus a guest
very pleased! Also did 2 portions of chowder for just me, and two for me and Giraffe, plus 6 portions of tomato and mascarpone sauce. Haven't managed anything else though as I got struck down by a hideous migraine after picking the kids up from school, so everything just got put on hold. Hoping to make the rest tomorrow.
The torrential rain is causing issues here... our garage is sporting a nice lake in it. our road turns a corner after our house and so the neighbours gardens and garages for the next 2 sets of semis back on to the side of our garden. Well in-between the side of our garage and the back of the neighbours garage has accumulated a HUGE pile of mud and crap... and they don't have a gutter on the back of their garage so when it rains the water pours off their garage, soaks through the mud and comes through the wall of our garage to make a lovely lake. Very high up on our list of things to do this year is hire a skip, remove the fence panel and dig out all that guck so that it doesn't continue happening. Also considering asking them if we can put guttering on their garage so we can direct the water into our water butt... but that might be a bit cheeky...! :rotfl:Rule 7: If you're not changing it, you're choosing it.

I had to ring anyway to change the statement date, so I asked about this as well. I didn't think it was very likely, but I couldn't lose anything by asking... anyway the answer was no, which is what I expected. Ah well. Not sure where that leaves us, think I shall ring my mum and talk it through with her

Well last night was a bit dramatic. Giraffe didn't really eat anything yesterday lunchtime or dinnertime, went to bed fine, but woke up as we were going to bed with a raging temperature, raspy sore throat and honky goose cough. Gave her some calpol and water and stripped her jamas off and she came in our bed for a cuddle for a bit, then I put her back in her bed where she promptly threw up  luckily I got most of it in a towel. This morning I've washed her duvet and bear, and have her bedding and the dirty towels to do in addition to the normal mountain of dirty clothing and bedding that I should've done on Weds
My washing machine will be earning its' keep today!
Going to hop in the shower now, as I bathed Giraffe this morning, then stripped bedding, as well as all the normal morning stuff so didn't have time to wash my hair earlier.
Haven't heard back from the bathroom showroom yet. I'm giving them until lunchtime and then I shall assume they don't want our money and will go to the local B&Q because there's a range of taps/other bathroom bits (loo roll holder/shelves/etc etc) that we really like and want to get. In the event that we can't get a whole bathroom (which is looking increasingly likely) we've decided we'll get all the accessories, a heated towel rail, and the basin/vanity/concealed cistern toilet we were looking at, and leave the bath for a later date. I'm also planning on getting the paint to decorate both our bedroom and Lumpy's bedroom.
Free listing on eBay this weekend, so hoping that, along with all the cleaning I've been putting off all week, I can sort through the bags of kids summer clothes that have been outgrown and weigh them so I can work out postage easily tomorrow and actually get them listed. I've missed the last 4 due to being busy and disorganised. Could really do with the extra cash at the moment so really need to make the effort and actually get the bits listed. They aren't going to get sold in a bag down the side of the sofa!
Leftover fish soup for lunch today. Then got a friend round for dinner tonight - going to make chilli. Looking forward to seeing her, plus I am rehoming one of my fish to her.

It's done  bathroom accessories, toilet, basin, vanity unit, and paint for our bedroom and Lumpy's bedroom. We're now £847.82 more in debt than we were. Early next week I shall ring the cc company and ask them what date the 0% rate runs out and diarise it so we can make sure we've paid it off before then. In the meantime we can still use the card and purchases will be charged at the normal rate and any payments will be applied to the higher rate transactions first.
Can't decide whether I should cancel the DD and make manual payments or change the DD to the minimum payment...Rule 7: If you're not changing it, you're choosing it.
