Well another busy day at work number 1 of 4 this time. :(

Still no refund and found out they only do payments on Tuesdays and Fridays (but usually 10 working days from receipt of the instruction).

Stuck in limbo still with nothing noticeable happening which is so frustrating and depressing it is just mad!!!!!!

The countdown to pay day continues at 16 (almost 15 days to go)

Would like to wish my life away to then please...... Or at least to Tuesday evening / Wednesday morning when the start of my 9 days off happens)

Also still waiting on Daughters bus pass for school (costs £100 a year..... Sent off for it on the 23rd and payment went through on the 27th) but still no sign of the blasted thing. Especially not funny when spending over £5 a DAY on her getting the bus in the meantime. :(

Feeling rather tired and frustrated tonight.... Think my bed is calling me.

    Night all
  • Well I am feeling well and truly fed up right now..... :(

Still not had that service charge refund, at this rate by the time they pay us we will have to pay another months interest on the barclaycard and wont be able to clear it this month. :(

Daughters bus pass has still not arrived and I am fed up with having to pay £4 a day just for her to get home from school and paying up to £40 a week on petrol to take her to and from - £20 to just take her plus bus money home... or £40 to do both trips.

Just feel we are not getting anywhere and I am running out of money fast.... only have £28 left for food for the month and about to go to sainsburys and get an all basics shop which will cost £24. Just enough for bread and milk next week. :(

    Yay...................... :T

Daughters bus pass arrived today so that will now help us to keep in budget from next week as saves us £40 a week on travel for her. :j

Still awaiting the refund though!!! :(

Suppose we cant have everything at once (that would just be greedy) :D

    Hmmmmm

My dilemma today is do I phone up again about the refund of do I just leave it and hope for the best?? :p

The day the refund reaches my account we will be paying off the Barclaycard (I have been waiting since the 1st for this and I have to say I am feeling impatient now as it is dragging along) :)

Pay day in 10 days..... WOOP WOOP, then my Dad has his last payment and that is cleared. I can't wait to have that one finished as it gives us £300 a month more towards the next debt. :D
  • Well just phoned the company regarding the refund and I have to wait till TUESDAY.... :(

    Really miffed now!

Well have just finished baking 3 dozen cakes and oh has made approx 50 cookies so those are our treats for the next week (if they last that long with our forever hungry girls lol) will report back sometime after the weekend with how they react to home baking as treats instead of expensive shop bought or nothing.
  • Well done, silkglade! I am sure they will LOVE them.
  • Hi everyone

I am sorry that I have been rude and not really responded to any of you who have given advice and support thus far...... Been a little world of my own and had nothing but tunnel vision about the refund and trying to get the Barclaycard gone. :o

Thank you all so much and I really do appreciate it. :A

Well refund SHOULD be in my bank on Tuesday all being well (I will check this online 1st thing of course) then I will make that 1st payment once I know for sure it is there. :j

Money is REALLY tight till payday next Monday, now I have just enough (as long as I drive to conserve fuel) to get to and from work till then. :(

We only have £4.08 left for food and petrol now too.

The girls loved the cake that I made but are not very keen on the cookies that OH made.... ;) will have to see if anything can change their minds.
  • Hi Diary

Well yesterday was such a lovely day. :)

We went to MIL's for the day (costs us about £40 in petrol, but have not seen her since little ones birthday in August) we gave her our birthday presents (her birthday was at the beginning of the month but I have been working all the weekends) pleased to say she loved them all. :D

We got treated to a meal out, which for the 1st time really felt like a treat as before our lightbulb moment we used to eat out and have takeaways LOTS. :o

Not had any this month though so really enjoyed it and felt spoilt. :p

Nice relaxing day today and a day of spending no money again I hope, especially as we only have enough for bread and milk till pay day. :T

I am having such a low and feeling down day today.....

We are so broke at the moment.... We have less than £5 in the bank till pay day (which is over a week away) and only just (hopefully) have enough petrol to get to and from work till pay day too. :o If not I will be walking home on the last day!

I am actually beating myself up today (possibly rather excessively) as we are so skint / broke and it is all MY fault (due to the fact that OH has never bothered to have anything to do with the finances at all) and therefore some one is to blame and that has to be me. :(

I have let my family down so much by letting us get into so much debt and I am feeling terrible as I feel like am having to punish them for something that is not their fault but mine and mine alone. :(
