Just popping in to say hello
Sad Fizz today. Bad enough being dumped a few months ago but now it appears feller has decided to withdraw his friendship for no reason other than he wants to move on with his life and he feels he can't. I will never understand men!
Managed to blitz the bathroom and fill the recycling bins this morning. Also the bedding is dancing merrily on the line outside. Off out to work.
Have a good day.

flutterby could you call the hospital to find out? When OH was in hospital I called up to see if he was out of his op yet and they were able to tell me what ward he was on and how he was doing just from his name, even offered room no. so i could visit.
OH got the job :j The company just need to finalise funds for his training and he can start! He's been getting so bogged down lately as it's just been one kick in the teeth after another so this really couldn't have come at a better time :TLiving cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -

((((((Fizz)))))) - don't get me started on men, they are bu88ers the lot of them! Fickle, pathetic, childish and the rest! <can you tell I'm in an anti-man mood today?!> :rotfl:.
Adelight - good idea, my friend has told me what ward she is likely to be on so if I get no joy from phoning then I'll just turn up and ask the nurses desk. Congrats to your OH!!!

Well in order to work the frustration out of my system, i decided to sort my wardrobe and drawers
Three bags to the charity shop, summer trousers to DS3 wardrobe and a few bits that Mooloo might be able to recycle. DD dropped them off at Charity shop so no second thoughts.
Im having a rather anxious day though. I think it is because Im tired and hassled/ worried about a few issues. As you know, Im waiting on funding for an operation and it is quite likely to be declined and then I will have to appeal. I have spent the past three years fighting decisions and tbh and am very tired of it. Im desperate for the operation but it costs 18 grand so out of my reach, although Kids Dad has talked about re-mortgaging So I am fighting the urge to comfort eat and have had a couple of hundred calories worth of ice cream which seems to have curbed the urge.
Lou - lovely to see you posting. There must be something in the air because I have upped my anti d's today as well on the advice of GP.
Butterfly - Happy anniversary xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Just popped back on with a cuppa and can see that some of you are not feeling too good, so I'm sending some positive vibes to you all, and hope that thing get better soon.
Chirpychick - welcome to you. I'm not a dentist but I was a dental nurse in a past life. You said that the dentist removed the filling and fitted a crown, but did he put anything back in the tooth before he put the crown on? It sounds as if he put a temporary filling in, then removed it and crowned it, when it may have needed a permanent filling in it before the crown went on, if you see what I mean. If I was you, I would post the problem on the health forum; I know there is a dentist on there called Toothsmith who may be able to advise you. If you click on this link https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/47206859#Comment_47206859 it will take you to his latest post, then you can private message him. Hope this helps.
Well, the sun is beaming away today and I've got loads of washing dry; I think we're all in for a bit of a heatwave by the end of the week, so I hope they've got the predictions right.
Well, back to the grindstone, I suppose.

Chirpychick - you're more than welcome. Every day's a schoolday, as they say! I've been on MSE for over four years now, and I'm still discovering new and amazing things. I think there's a forum for just about everything you can think of on here, all thanks to our hero, Martin Lewis, his great team, and all the MSE'ers who take the trouble to post! Hope you can get some useful advice about your tooth!

checking in late as usual.#
im ready these posts and have decided that it would make me so happy to get up early and get all my jobs done before the school run so that by the time i go to work i know that there is nothing to do afterwards. it sounds to easy but i JUST CANT GET UP i love my bed so much. i get up at 7.20 which is just enough time to shout dd2 if she has over slept as he bus goes at 745 then i sort ds1 out who is 7. really from then on i run til his friend knocks on the door ( i car share the school runs). im never late for school but if i had an hour to do all my bits and peices i would feel good for the day i think.
anyway today goes like this
wm on and out and ironed and put away. done lunchboxes, tea, dusted, done this weeks baking, done tea, done the daily chores and been to work. now just about to have early tea and im at work at 530. i have 2 part time jobs to fit in with the kids.
feeling for all those who are not so well today

Good afternoon all,
Bit of a mixed day today. DH didn't get the promotion he was hoping for and feeling upset about it. On the other hand DD away at uni has got a job, few hours in a shop she'll get just over £40 a week so not bad.
I'm off to weightwatchers for the first time ever tonight with a friend, we have got money off coupons. Neither of us are very overweight but the weight is creeping up so it's time to take action (and get out for a bit)
Lovely drying day today, got two loads done. I'm hoping for another dry day tomorrow as still have 2 loads of washing to do, I have a house full of sports kits to wash.
Have a lovely evening whatever your plans.
