:jHi, this is the Daily Thread for Monday 26th September. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Morning all - was joined by a wet boy in bed at half five - so that turned into a quick cuddle then up! Fire lit, WM spinning, dogs been out and coffee in cup! Perfect start to the week. Have to iron the childrens school uniform this morning, and when they're in school I'll be clearing through the house - specially as the puppy has been pinching bits of coal from the fire to chew!?!
Tea tonight is sausage casserole - I made a huge one and have put enough to feed 4 x 4 portions in the freezer. Will do it tonight with potato wedges. Dawn breaking over the hill behind the house so I'd better finish my coffee and start the day! Need to get wet bedding into the wash. Hugs and vibes to all - only 3 months till christmas - time to start doing the crafty things!!

Morning esmf, suzybloo and everyone else
Been up a while, too - pile of ironing done, WM ready to go, first cuppa had and now to get kids up!
Fine here, too, but must have rained a bit overnight. Hope the good weather materialises so we can do the lawns one more time and start some general tidying in the garden.
See you all later, hugs and kisses all round.

Morning all
Hubby's been dropped at the station, washing hung on the line, DW all ready to go, fish fed, packups made & breakfast eaten.
I slept in the recliner last night as every time I laid down I started to cough, still I slept ok & didn't disturb hubby.
We said goodbye to the foster children yesterday, DD is awaiting the next placement & is not sure how many she will get as her hubby is off to Afghanistan soon. She is happy to have 3 at a time but social services may decide it is too much for her on her own.
I shall attampt to do a full day at work today, as I finished early Thursday & Friday due to my cough.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester

Good Morning x
I was up very early and have done 4 loads of washing since about 3.30am:eek::eek::eek: Anyway i will be tired later but have a fairly busy day so might have to nab a snooze.
The doggies are going for a haircut - my dad takes them - so I made him a cake. Then DS3 is off to the dentist (again) and i have a few errands in our local market town.
It is pouring with rain so am going to put bedding on tomorrow or wednesday and then it can have one last blast on the line outside. Roll on Indian Summer. Have a good day xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Good Morning all, cloudy but warm here in Kent .Forecast for this Friday is 26/27c Whats going on with the weather .If it does get that hot it will be warmer that during the summertime.:):) School run this morning then shops that I should have done yesterday but CBA to do as the weather was too nice.Still hopefully they will be a bit quieter first thing I havn't got a lot to get just essentials.DGS Ben cut my lawn for me yesterday and pulled most of the weeds up bless him. I think I'll make a plate of choc chip cookies to take this afternoon when I pick up the boys as they are good little chaps and have hollow legs when they come out of school.
No washing or ironing to do its all up to date for a change.
Hope everyone has a good day
Cheers chums

Morning all!
I felt so sorry for myself over the weekend that I really got nothing done but today it's time to move on. The cleaner comes tomorrow so I need to have a good tidy and then it's my slimming class tonight.
So far this morning I've had my first cup of coffee and put the eggs on for breakfast. Once they've been scoffed it'll be time to get ready for Mass.
It's a beautiful, clear morning in Glasgow - such a change from yesterday. Maybe reports of an Indian summer aren't that far-fetched!
Hope everyone as a good day.Household: Laura + William-cat

Morning all,
DD1's party went really well yesterday despite the downpours as we had a tent up in the garden for them to shelter in.
Today I am back to normal, work and then all the after school ferrying round of children (scouts for DD1 and netball for DD2 tonight).
Tea tonight is something made with the left over pork from yesterday.
Hugs to those in need.
Have a lovely day everyone.:)0
