I forgot they have grouped branches, I thought that was something TSB did
Does this now mean my branch in Solihull could be affected by the mother hen branch being closed.
LLOYDS TSB BANK PLC309778
Equivalent Codes:
30-97-78
30 97 78POPLAR RD.SOLIHULL (309778)
Birmingham OSC4, Ariel House, 2138 Coventy Road, Sheldon, B26 3JW, Phone: (121) 7411380,
Birmingham
England
2138 Coventy Road, Sheldon is a Branch and an admin centre for a lot of branches, the Branch is being sold , the admin centre may be sold as Lloyds TSB are required to provide admin centres as part of the sale
The Branches covered by the admin centre are not being sold unless they are on the published list
assuming you obtained the information from http://findsortcodes.co.uk/ , which lists the details in the "Equivalent Codes: 30-97-78 30 97 78" format that you used - then about 300 Lloyds TSB Branches are listed on that website using the Sheldon address (just put "Sheldon" in the search box)Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. From the list of Lloyds TSB branches being sold , how many are in towns / areas of importance which will be left without a Lloyds Bank branch after the sale ?
Many of the towns have both a Lloyds and former TSB Branch so will continue to have a Lloyds Bank presence and many branches due for sale are in areas of no importance like Normanton Road , Derby
Barnet , Skipton and Kings Lynn will not have a Lloyds TSB presence when all the other main banks have a branch there (except RBS)
Trafford Centre , Meadowhall and Merry Hill are all closing , but have a Halifax in the same shopping centreHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

As I was interested in computers at the time, they took me behind the counter and showed me their computer systems.
I'll always remember that :rotfl:
By the way I am still with Lloyds but changed branches in 1983 and been with my that branch ever since.0 -
Just had an email from Lloyds stating their preferred Verde buyer is the Co-op.
Most of this thread concerns branches but for me it's my mortgage that's the concern as Intelligent Finance mortgage business is also included in the sale.0 -
yeah looks like co op are in the running....

What about us customers in Scotland? If we want to stay with lloyds do we ask to be transferred to an English branch or will they migrate us to Bank of Scotland at our request without further credit checks?Any input I provide is purely my own interpretation and is in no way 100% accurate, I will try to help as best I can in all cases.

I'm sure as the deal become more finialised a process may but put in place to enable you to possibly transfer your account for example to another branch which is not being sold just as in the case of RBS and Natwest.
However at the time the bank will not be able to promote it due to Competition Rules so you may need to ask the question.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
The slight issue is that LloydsTSB Scotland is a separate company (with it's own banking licence). Moving to LloydsTSB in England isn't just moving branch as would be the case at RBS/NatWest.I'm sure as the deal become more finialised a process may but put in place to enable you to possibly transfer your account for example to another branch which is not being sold just as in the case of RBS and Natwest.
