Not to mention, depending how fast you write. How would it take much more than two minutes to write (and this was quoted on the phone).
I can confirm brett worked here from 9/8/2010 - 29/7/2011 as a healthcare assistant at (company name)0 -

are you saying they have agreed to leave out that you were dismissed from the letter?0 -

I beleive her "block" is just for spite tbh
OK, so that's something else you could offer your new employers. The P45 would show an end date showing that you had worked for them - but you will only have one P45, not two.
They already, it appears, have spoken with your ex-employer so that should give them some assurance.
If that (or alternative references) isn't good enough for them, do they really want you to work for them?0 -

The agency employed me knowing I was dismissed.
The other job I have just got which references will be applied for after the CRB. They seemed to bite my hand off. They let me know I had the job by tea time and I had the interveiw at 11am.0 -

then you are fine.
and as you have already told them you were dismissed anyway, there shouldnt be a problem.
the only question now is getting hold of it.
ignore uncertain by the way, ignores the facts and backs where ever he thinks the status quo lies!0 -

Getting hold of it was my original problem to begin with, nothing else. She says she will send references then takes weeks :@0 -

i know. just keep at it. you've got nothing to lose.
you could ask a solicitor to send a threatening letter or something as a bluff if you feel she doesnt take you seriously, which she clearly doesnt by the sounds of things.0 -

TBH I think uncertain made quite a good and valid point, considering she had no idea at the time whether they would include the dismissal or not0 -

But what can a soliciter do, if their is no legal enforcment? I will just keep hassling her. She is only doing it for spite0
