I'm slightly out of date on my receipts but am running on about £330 with not much month left - we go away on Sat and the only thing I may need to buy before then is s pint of milk, depending upon what people choose for breakfasts. We return on the Following Fri and I'll just need to top up bread, milk & f&v - so I should make it in budget. WOn't have time probably to post again

One of my jobs for this evening is to do a freezer inventory - it's amazing how quickly they get out of date when you take stuff out and put stuff in, and forget to update it!!
I have ludicrous amounts of stuff in it, but there is almost enough space for a small tub of icecream in there now as i've been eating things up!!! :rotfl:
I feel I've made a good start to using up the stockpiles. I have condensed the crisps bags into one, there's only one box of teabags (I don't go through many), and there are only 6 blocks of sheese in the fridge. I do need to do an inventory of the cupboard under the stairs soon though, as I'm not entirely sure what's in there besides 3 kg of pasta, 2kg rise, 12 tins toms, 8 tins tuna, 3 bags bread flour and LOADS of tins of soup.
I have bought 2kg of pasta recently, but that's been the only stockpiling activity I've had, and tbh, that's really good for me. We go a kg in about a month or so. I've been getting loads of emails from AP, and I keep going on to look, then leaving again, as I find my willpower! Same with sms, think I'm really making a difference in my attitude towards shopping and stocking.
Sorry for ramble - I'm just feeling quite proud of myself and wanted to share!

It's hubbie's pay day...so I'm declaring for the month - £249.87 - target was £240 so I'm quite pleased with that.
We've been eating out of the freezer quite a lot as it desperately needs defrosting but I'm still aiming for £240 again for Oct/Nov month.Mortgage starting balance - [STRIKE]£151,030 [/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£143,733.28[/STRIKE] £137,000 (25 years to go...):o0 -
Having spent way over budget over the last few weeks I am glad to say that I have managed 4 NSD’s this week so far :j & have only spent £1.39 on a bag of potatoes (sig updated) – I couldn’t manage the thought of Shepherdless Pie without some lovely cheesy mash on top and loads of brown sauce - only one portion of it left in the freezer now and it can stay there till I’m really hard up
, won’t be trying that recipe again without making a few adaptations or else searching out a different recipe. I must be getting very OS as a year ago I would have thrown it out, whereas now nothing gets wasted – just OS’d

Spent £76 today on a shop in M&S. Mum had 20% staff discount and a extra 10% too, so stocked up. The 10% is taken off before all other offers, so £120 products for 70 odd quid!!! Freezer is now stocked, and got some excellent xmas stuff 1/2 price too!
will update siggi, and see what i have left. Loads of meals in freezer tho, so will only need milk etc. My month will end on 28th, so should be OK.
Hope all are well and warm!!!0
