Quick update - had to go to Pets@home on Weds as dog has fleas (my fault for not keeping up to date with his flea drops - which are done now so he should be ok) - bought some spray for the house and some treats for the dog as they were on offer - spent £13.99
Just been to Sainsbugs to get this week's shopping, didn't need much and still managed to spend £21.06
And then went to the vets to collect the dog's prescription diet and repeat prescription tablets - £61.69  Glad that comes out of a different budget or we'd be living off bread and water!
Off to update my sig next

Joining in a little late this month! Just about scraped under last month with a couple of £ to spare.
Helen jelly can I please have a budget of £400 for Oct. Thanks
We're away for 5 1/2 days (Disneyland paris - woo hoo!!!) so this should theoratically be easily achievable if I can just manage to keep out of the supermarkets!!!:o

I have been really wiped out by this flu type virus this week and still feel really iffy and very tired. Still managed to spend another £40 odd quid on food though;)
I am self employed and haven't had a fee cheque that I was expecting so we are having to manage on £10 for the whole weekend (and maybe beyond if it doesn't arrive soon). I have lots of food in though, although I may need some bread - will walk round to the little Tesco later as they often have rolls and stuff reduced.
Just made a toad in the hole for tonight's tea - very cheap as I used Sainsburys Irish recipe sausages and basics eggs and flour. DD2 loved it! DD1 isn't home yet so hers is in the oven.Jane

A quick update of spends
Thursday - spent 7.39 in co-op on a load of reduced items, including cauliflower for 19p each, large bags of mushrooms, which i have frozen plus some bargain chops and cooked meat. In the evening bought a bottle of wine for 5.49, also (oh why did i do it), bought an approved food order, which came to £46.47, so i am really going to have to stay away from temptation for the rest of the month. as i only have about £30 left.0 -
Afternoon everyone
Am rather late joing this month,
PLEASE PUT ME IN FOR OCT FOR £400.
Have done 1st shop of my month today, spent £5.00 on loo rolls in Co-op and then £86.42 in MrA so total today is £91.42 - so not too bad just need to keep away from the takeaways and top-up shops during the week.
Have started menu plan for next week and most nights are organised, will be doing some cooking/baking tomorrow after I've had a look at some recipes on here and in the cook books, feel we've got into a food rut yet again and we're just eating the same stuff week after week.
Want to start getting better prepared at the weekend for the coming week so I'm not charging around like a headless chicken!!
Have a great weekend everyone, stay safe and well x

After a poor September when I simply lost count please put Hex2 down for £425
Probably ambitious given that I have already spent £122 on a Mr T HD today, and the veg box/milk is a pre-committed £83 in a five week month but I will try.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
