Hi everyone,
I know I've gone over budget this week as I have so far spent £60.08 of my £50 budget. But thanks to this challenge I now know where this has gone (chocolate, cake, etc). Therefore on Wednesday to make me spend less and feed my chocolate hunger I made enough choccie brownies to last two weeks :-) this also gave me 1 NSD.

£84.32/£100 main shop
Week 1 £18.14/£25
week 2 £9.07/£25
Week 3 £0/£25
Week 4 £0/£25
Just updting with my first shop of this week. Nipped to Sa*nsburys for milk and a few more bits. Bought yoghurts-the big Activia snack pots 4 for a £, topped up on the Basics Tbags & Rice Pud & got butter for baking as we used our last pat for brownies at the weekend. Also bought a few of the reduced GF bits ( falafel mix is only 40p so cheaper than making my own and DD can make it herself!! Also a few Gravy sachets for 40p too for emergency easy gravy to spruce up when in a hurry). So spent £9.07.
Yesterday was a NSD but will need milk again tomorrow which I'll get OH TO pick up from A*di after work since Sa*nsburys is not 3 for £3 anymore. Enough to last us a few days so won't need to visit the shops this weekend. Plus our weekend bottle of vino treat too.
Need to be frugal because our shower has given up on us and we have the plumber in today/tomorrow so will need to budget for the repair bill for that:(Grocery challenge October: £228.28/£250.00 NSD 4 ( not completed)
Grocery challenge November : £291.65/300.00 NSD 10

i'm not a happy bunny the heating element in my dryers gone, which meant i woke up to wet uniforms this morning, i managed to find some dry ones to send them in thankfully and mil will let me dry them in her house for tomorrow, we took out extra waranty a month or 2 ago i'm so glad now as otherwise it would have been out of waranty now, we took it out with hotpoint rather than currys who was only about £1 cheaper per month but didn't include labour :eek:DEC GC £463.67/£450

Evening all
Not good today spent £6.85
DH asked me to pick up some parmesan for tonights dinner - £3.79 for 100g and he used 75g:eek:
I then had to pop into T Metro to pick up 3 ambrosia custards and 2 bags crispd for packed lunch tomorrow - sooo expensive £3.06 for the 5 items
In Sainsbugs would have spent £1.29 on 6 bags crisps and £1.59 on 4 custards
Need to stop off at Sainsbugs or T's tomorrow to get a bit of stock in
I was tempted to buy wine - I have it most nights but resisted the temptation, feeling good and "saved" around £5.50:A
Hi,
we actually use Gran Padano instead of Parmesan in recipes as it works out cheaper. I think it is a bit less strongly tasting but we haven't noticed the difference in recipes. It was on offer last week anyway for £1.99 for 200g in A*ldi.Grocery challenge October: £228.28/£250.00 NSD 4 ( not completed)

Seem to have spent a fair bit this month at just under £250 out of my £375, however that is us pretty much stocked up for the month other than a few fresh items every week. Out of the £250 there is about £30 of christmas goodies that have been stashed away, so I will take that out of my christmas money and re-imburse my grocery money so that will drop us back a wee bit to £220 - and have other commitments of £80 before month end so in all doing not too badly.
Have just updated my electricity reading and now £231 in credit so requested a return of £81 and a drop in the DD by £21 a month so in the general housekeeping its a bonus too!Every days a School day!0 -
Looks like I will be having a couple of NSD now because the cash I transferred to my "spending" bank account will take 3 days longer than anticipated.Return and Restart August 2016

Was my weekly shop day today. Did a plan for the next week and following some advice on here went to Farm Foods for the first time. I was very impressed, soo cheap! Then went to Aldi then Asda for the bits I couldn't get in either.
Alos bought the 16 pack of Triple Velvet for a £5, cheaper than basics. Total was just pennies under £70. This did include some essential toiletries but goodness me, this is hard work. Need some sausages as well from the farm shop, will have to think again on that meal.October Grocery Challenge £4000
