Two NSDs in a row for me here, and hoping for one tom as don't need anything, although dd(6) wants to go to a$da tom after school, because she wants to go shopping!!! NOoooooooo!! Hoping to distract her with something at home...
Tonight, we had boiled ham, parsley sauce, mash and carrots. There's enough mash left to make some kind of pie (have a tin of chicken in white sauce which would make that easy;) ), or some fishcakes as I have a mountain of tuna. Dinner tom will be ham, egg and chips - can't remember the last time we had that, so whatever I make will be for just me on Fri and Sat. Will the mash last that long? Can't feeze it, as there's nowhere to put it!
Hope anyone who's feeling under the weather feels better soon. It makes it so much harder to make MS choices when you're not feeling at your best...

Reporting a £3.90 spend for yesterday and 2 NSDs so far this week. So far so good this month, but my partner has an operation on monday so will be expecting lots of treats for his recovery! I made some mars bar cake today, but think I must have accidentally added an extra tablespoon of golden syrup (probably intended for my mouth!)...too sweet!GC2012: Nov £130.52/£125

I think I posted that my first shop of the month involved a spend of £11.05 at co$tcutter.
Since Sunday I have shopped as follows.....
Monday - Mr T Metro - £21.71
Tuesday - Mr T Express - £5.79 (reduced fruit and running magazine)
Tuesday - $ain$bugs - £9.37 (another mag - supermarket own and mainly food/wine gifts for others)
Wednesday am - Mr T Metro - £24.56
Wednesday pm - m&$ - £31.78
thats £93.21 and we are only day 5 of the month :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
I was aiming to be good this month.
I am thinking that I would be better having one shop a week delivered. These daily visits to the shops are costing me a fortune.
I will also add that I went to $uperdrug to buy tissues - they had mansize for 79p last week. On my first visit this morning, I couldn't get near the aisle/tissues because they were filling the shelves and had decided to place all the boxes of stock by the tissues. Then when i go back at lunchtime, I discover they have put the price up to ? (I think it was £1.75?) but special offer of 2 for £2.50. Behind the offer ticket is the original 79p price tag.:mad::mad: I didn't buy them I hasten to add !
Going back to my shopping habits, what would other posters suggest I do?? I know I pay extra for my shopping for using the more convenient metro/express stores(for example I paid 50 pence each for grapefruits today) but I think i save money (on having home delivery) because I don't buy so much when I have to carry it home? But now I'm thinking of one shop a week will mean I won't have to visit the shops on a daily basis and spend the quids that I seem to be spending. If I can get the meal plan thing sorted then I would only buy what was needed rather than buy stuff just in case ?0 -

There's no way I should give my twopenn'orth as I'm soooo bad at this at the moment, however, when I did weekly shops, I fared much better than pop-in shops. If you do delivery shops, it means you can work on the order over a few days, and I always found that helpful, as I could add and (more importantly) take stuff off the order over the course of a few days.Grocery challenge for family of three - me, dd(12) and ds(11), feeding dp 2 or 3 x a week too. Two no spend days this week but after an awful day at work today I popped into Sainsbury's on the way home for a pack of 3 Magnums £2.00. Why did I do that ?
We just had one and it was lovely and they were reduced by 44p!
