  • Hi, can you add me in for October please.

£300guesstimate for me, (not so) DH and dogs. First time budget so I may be way out but that's a comfortable figure for me to start from. I will be ashamed if I spend more than that tbh:(

Might take a bit of tweaking month on month as DH is away a lot and with current posting we don't always know when he will be away. I tend to live on whatever is in the freezer when he is away (known as freezer lottery as I never mark up the boxes:o )

I think I intend to rollover any unspent money into the next month to build in a buffer for expensive months as living so far from family they tend to descend on mass blowing food and alcohol budgets out the window
Can I ever learn this budgeting lark? So far it's not looking promising

  • Thanks to all the ladies (I think!) that keep us going!:T

I'm going to stick at £30 a week for me and the dog to include all food, toiletries, cleaning and laundry stuff and dog food. Its getting harder every week with prices going up so much but lets hope the supermarket price war will help!:p

Please can I return its been a while but things are dire and I need to get things in hand again can you put me down for £375 as it is a five friday month. It will be a case of shopping at the start of the month will be roughly £125, £30 for milk delivery for the month and £20 for papers for the month also. This will be for everything including toiletries, nappies for dgs, I also need £20 per week out of this for another commitment, so should leave around about £20 per week for incidentals and fresh fruit and vegetables. I will faithfully write everything in my diary and update daily.

    good luck everyone!
