  • I received my Av0n statement today and have got £130 commission due next week :j This is more than I was expecting, so am very pleased :D. I'll be paying at least £100 of this off the target CC once it's paid into the bank next week.

DD2 is in a strop with us this evening (what's new, I ask myself :wall:), she seems to be in a very ungrateful, opinionated and/or demanding place at the moment :(. Tonight just proved to be a step too far and I couldn't bite my tongue :o. Hmmmm, teenagers .

We've been through the same thing with her elder sister, so I know it will pass, but it's sooooo frustrating

    I feel your pain. ;)

Though at the moment it's my younger 2 arguing that is causing more stress than my older 2 teenagers.

Wow Been I'm away from MSE for just over a week and what a busy bee you are - giving me the much needed kick up the bahooky to get back on the MSE trail - well done on the refunds and xmas organising -

  • I've just added £22.56 of sales commissions to my Make £10/day challenge :). This is on top of the £130 I'm expecting next week :D (which I'm not including in my totals), although I won't actually get the commission for a few weeks yet.

I'm going to spend quite a bit of today visiting my Av0n customers, to make sure I've covered all of them before Christmas...best selling time of the year ;).

  • Today I'm going to:
    • Ring DDs landlord re address (should've done this yesterday)
    • Send cheque to landlord
    • Pick up a new kettle at lunchtime - done
    • Update CC balances on the spreadsheet
    • Transfer money from savings to cover Christmas spends so far - done
    • Update the Make £10 a day challenge - done

This was my list from Monday...not much completed :(. It's really important that I get DDs rent sorted this week. I think I've been distracted by all the refunds coming at once :o. I'll need to re-focus this week, so will get a new list prepped and posted.

On the plus side, I have a bit more commission to add to my Make £10/day challenge and I found 20p while out walking last night ;).

Well that's half the tasks done at least. And I think that puts my to do list to shame. :o

I'll carry my tasks over into this week (next week? this week?), and pop back in to see how you're getting on with yours:D

I've had to go out to get some extra food shopping today. It seems that no matter how hard we try, we always run out before the next shop is due. That's not to say that we've run out of everything, but there's no snack food left, eg, crisps to go with a sandwich at lunchtime, or biscuits or cake with a cup of tea.

These are not essential items, but they definitely add to the small pleasures of the day...especially as it feels that there are fewer pleasures at the moment :o.

I'm trying to increase the food budget each month as our minimum payments reduce, but it's a slow process as I also want to make overpayments on the target card. It's a tough call sometimes .

  • I know what you mean about all the snacky kind of food running out.

My son seems to eat it more than anyone. When the shopping is delivered it is as though everything has to be eaten the same day. :(

We then end up having to go out and buy other bits, especially as some were for DD's lunch.

  • Hi Banwa, Hi Bonnington, nice to 'see' you :)

It's a funny ol' week! One minute it feels like things are really boring and slow on the MSE front and I've got nothing much to say, and the next...well...

..an engine warning light has appeared on the dashboard of the car :(, what does this mean? My immediate response is repair bills , although tbh, the car is running fine, so maybe it's just a short somewhere :o. We're going to run it for a few days just locally to see if it starts running badly or stays the same and then decide what to do...

..the oven heating element went bang last night . This was repaired a few years ago by a repair man, but this time we're going to do a bit of research and try to get it done ourselves. So, no microwave and no oven at the moment :(..

    ..DD1 has needed a cash top-up..

..Christmas shopping is beginning to gain some pace...

 it's all happening too quickly!

    So, to do:
    • draw some money back from savings for Christmas spends and oven repair (I hate taking money out of my savings now ;))
    • update spreadsheet
    • research oven heating element costs online (DH to do this)
    • get T3sc0 points converted to train ticket vouchers ready for renewal in next few weeks
I think there's more, but feeling flustered :o.

On the plus side though, got a £10 voucher in the post from Arg0s yesterday, courtesy of DS' Christmas present spends :).
