I've finally :o got around to updating my bank statement and my spreadsheet. Projected balance at the end of the month is £57 over OD, but I'm hoping that we'll have a refund from e0n now that we're changing supplier, so that should balance out.

Here are the weekly spends so far:

    Item -Budget -Spend -Balance

    Food -420.00 -245.85 -174.15
    Travel -350.00 -195.40 -154.60
    Cash -270.00 -40.00 -230.00
    Clothes -30.00 -10.00 -20.00

sorry about the spacing, tried cutting and pasting, but didn't work :(

Food allows us about £43/week for 4 weeks, should be ok, but travel isn't so good. OH will need to renew his monthly train ticket before the end of the month, which will then only leave us with about £78. I don't think it'll be enough for the petrol we'll use locally, so will need to keep an eye on that one.

Cash spends I think will be ok, it's about £55pw and is doable.

Clothes will be overspend due to new shoes needed by DS, so anything over will need to come from the emergency fund.

Glad I've done that, feel a little more in control again now ;).

  • I've received a statement for one of my other cc today and have been able to reduce my monthly payment by £5 as the minimum payment has dropped.

Have therefore just transferred another £5 to the target CC :D.

We won £10 on the lottery last night, so it will be winging it's way to the target cc later today :D. I think total payment will be £135 which is a combination of minimum payment + overpayment + Av0n commission + lottery win :T. The balance should then drop below £1,000 :T:T.

    Hi

only just found your diary and wanted to say

well done hun lots hard decisions but you making inroads into your debts.

I can empathise with having no savings so stuff went on credit cards.

we currently have 6500 on cards and £12000 loan ends 2015!
we run 2cars which swallow up a lot of money.

this week we crashed and burned hubbys totally run out of money 10days before payday
luckily we have petrol in both cars and enough food as did £50 shop at farm foods yesterday and £10 at lidls.

We have 3kids 1 of school age who takes packed lunches as does hubby to work
im looking for part time work.

on shoe front-last september couldent afford new shoes for start of term so got startright ones off ebay for 1st 2months of term. just get them measured.
Mine 2have wide feet so clarks or startright but as teenager my mum could go cheaper shoe shops brought my 13year old stepson some nice ones from tesco.
My eldest does need new school shoes and new coat, searching for coat on ebay for eldest and snowsuit for the baby.

Good luck, stay positive, you doing well.
