  • I seem to be like you and lose track quickly what we have spent.
In the old days you could look at your cheque stubs. These days it's a till receipt which easily gets lost.

You seem to be very motivated. I'm not sure whether you are like me and will be here for a few years. Perhaps we need to find some more money making ways fast.

Keep up the good work. :)

Thanks Bonnington, yes, I'll be here for a few years :o, the Snowball is saying 48 months, but I'll be looking to improve on that ;).

As well as the day job, I also do Av0n part time. I really enjoy it, although it can be hard combining it with full time work, and a full time family ;), but I've been doing it for over a year and have no plans to give it up. Realistically though that means there's no chance to take anything else on.

  • :( Whinge Alert :( , avert your eyes now if you're not too keen on moaning :rotfl:

I've really felt the negative effects of having just the one car this weekend :(, I feel like I've spent most of today ferrying OH, DD and DS to their various clubs/work etc at the expense of my time and commitments.

It's also involved a fair bit of hanging around waiting for them too. Time that I can't afford to lose on the weekend as I always have soooo much to do.

It's only been a couple of weeks since my car was sold, and I really do want to hold off getting a replacement for as long as possible, but on days like today, I long for my own car :o:(.

Hmmm, sorry folks, needed to get that off my chest!

  • 'Morning :)

I've just checked my bank account (will update spreadsheet later), nothing unexpected although we're moving quickly through the OD now :(. Final (non-target) credit card payment for the month of £240 has left this morning. That's all the large stuff done now.

Things for this week that come to mind are:
    • Renew train ticket for a week (I'm on leave next week :T)
    • Sort out DS' bus fare reclaim, must do it this week :o
    • Cancel mobile phone insurance
    • Food shop (today, budget £37.75 )
    • Update spreadsheet
    • Keep fingers, toes, arms, legs, eyes crossed that the insurance refund cheque arrives this week ;)
I'm sure there are other things, but it's a bit early to be thinking that hard yet :rotfl:.

  • Hi BC

Got my fingers crossed your cheque comes soon too! Don't worry about the whinge yesterday, everyone has the right to feel fed up sometimes!

Could your OH not do some of the ferrying about while you stop at home to sort things?

Hope your supermarket trip went well! x

    Thanks Skintfoodie :)

I think OH and the kids have got the message :o, we've had a 'discussion' today and I've made it clear that if they want me running them around then they have to do more around the house. It's yet to be seen if things improve, but I guess this is all part of the journey :(. Step by step...
