And, after all, who wants to make an informed comment? And since I posted the question, those who have been so quick to judge and and insult in the thread have either been posted suspiciously silent or chose to ignore the question, take the huff and say they won't be back. Funny that, eh ?

I posted this thread cause I wanted to ask a question to, what I thought would be, smart, knowledgeable, reasonable people who could look at an arguement from both sides. What I've found was a forum full of misinformed know-it-alls who after failing to grasp the exact scenario, resort to name-calling and badgering. I'm sure most of you have managed to lose a lot of people money with your mis-information on this forum.

We understand the thread - you just don't like the answers.

You have not suffered any financial hardship, ergo you should not receive any compensation.

The fact that you managed to possibly negotiate a discount for the insurance company should help you sleep better that day for doing a good deed but it should hardly line your pockets!
