    Afternoon All,
Welcome to another snippy house :o Dp has woken up not just on the wrong side of the bed but possibly the wrong side of the country :( so I have been pottering in the garden & staying out of his way  I know it is because of his mouth hurting & it is very rare for him so, as he does not appear to want any comforting I am leaving him to it :). So far have picked & tidied up the french beans, same for the tomatoes & picked some raspberries which I may or may not turn into a nice dessert depending on how long I have to stay outside :D
Hugs to all those who are poorly or down & good luck to Henry who I'm sure will be fine x

Have a good day os or not x

    Hope Henry's 11+ wasn't too traumatic!
ForeverSaving - hugs to you and DD, other children can be so cruel even if they don't mean to be. I always think that parents should explain to their children that not everyone is the same and some have difficulties to overcome.
    Lou - hugs to you.
Beth - I have had H Pylori, it certainly isn't very nice and the meds can make you feel horrid too, so be prepared! I had to go for an endoscopy afterwards to check that the ulcers had healed (that too was awful!). Apparently it can be passed on fairly easily so may be a good idea to get the rest of the family checked.

Been up and at em this morning. Stripped my bed and the bedding is blowing happily on the line. It's so nice to get a bit of sunshine! Been to Home Bargains to stock up on diet p*psi and toiletries, A*da for a couple of bits, M*rrisons for fuel, another town for sand for the hamster (she has sand in a jam jar and does her wees in it) and bought 4 books from a charity shop. Just off out again in a mo to take back a library book that I found lurking on the shelf next to my bed!

DD and BF out for tea tonight so I shall probably pick up something at work before I start. Thinking of swapping mine and DDs bedrooms about, she has too much stuff and my room is a lot bigger.

Have a good weekend everyone. Take care. XX

    Afternoon folks

The snippiness must be catching - had a horrid morning shopping with kids. DS moaned about going to start with, nattered in town and whinged his way through the supermarket, with a nearly-2-year-old twittering alongside - I was foul-tempered and ready for the men in white coats by the time we got home! :(

On the bright side, 2 loads of washing out and 3rd nearly done in WM, going to food fair in a bit when DD wakes from her nap, and I've weakened and bought ready-made soup for tea - wicked mother that I am! :)

    A xo

CAMELOT, sorry to hear you had H. Pylori, yes it's very painfull as was the endo, I was on Omeprezole but had to stop taking it after 6 days, so many horrid side effects, so Dr has started me on another type. I have to be on the meds for 6 wks. :( I don't know which is worse the affliction or the cure. How long did it take you to recover and have they told you it's gone for good ? I didn't know my family could get it. Oh dear :(

  • Beth - Had to take Zantac for a while after the treatment but I eventually stopped it and the symptoms didn't come back, I think I was very lucky that the meds cleared it up. Didn't actually go back to check though in case they gave me some more horrid tablets!!

I now can't take brufen as I get a very sore stomach but apart from that everything seems fine. If I do get any symptoms at least I know what it may be should it return.

Take care of yourself and hope you feel better soon. XX
