Visa debit card is blue - is that significant?

That's the full authorisation card. Won't work at pay at pump machines, or on trains.
Debt free and staying that way!

Interesting, given that the overdraft was instantly approved at £2000, that I can't be trusted with paying for petrol.

So now I have the debit card, but I can't confirm it's receipt without the account number. So I phoned and they can't give out the account number over the phone, can't send a statement to show me the account number as there are no transactions. I can't do a transaction without either an account number or using the debit card, that can't be confirmed.

So I need to go back into the branch.

As for the paperwork with details of the insurance etc, they don't know why that hasn't arrived, but I would need to speak to the silver dept which is closed on Sunday's and may need me to quote the account number, that I don't have.

Shambles. And to think I opened this account to escape from being transferred to Santander.

Spoke too soon. I confirmed the receipt of debit card by text and received a text back that I would get another text when it has been activated....I'm still waiting.

I thought text messaging would be quicker than registering for online banking or telephone banking - I'm a new customer to NatWest for current account banking.

A simple text message got an instant response, but it said it would text when the card was activated and that would be by 6pm yesterday - but I'm still waiting.
