Good luck Op with the court case...
I am sure on top of binging up a child on your own the helpful remarks judging you as a parent without knowing anything about you are very helpful NOT... I does amaze me how many people on this site cannot seem to refrain from judging0 -

Perhaps it's the free will of the words used to describe sour exs that is where things get even more sour, I don't know, I'm not the best judge of character, but if I'm seeing someone and they seem to have traits that won't suit me, then I'm out, likewise if they feel the same with me they are out. I pay my CS as a contribution, not paying the mother to perform a role, I would not even go down the access route, that is not law. If Mum knows best then why are folk chastising those that choose not to have contact further clogging up resources?0 -

unfortunately cafcass are in favour of the child having 2 parents, or relationship with both parents.
Presently I'm fighting an access case with my ex, my dd is nearly 9, so far we have had 3 court hearing, welfare reports, cafcass meetings.
Sorry I'm not being nosey but being in nearly same position, how old is your child, and where have you got down the line with court, cafcass etc.
If you don't want to put info on thread, pm me, as i'm online later on most evenings and will come back and see if theres anything I can suggest. xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

I wouldn't bother digging mine up;)The point I'm making is let the courts decide via the involvment of cafcass, they work in the interest of the child(ren) not the posters on the internet.
What makes you think the courts will be swayed by this thread, even assuming they can be arsed to read it?
Seriously the OP wanted help/advice/support and neither you nor I can judge accurately whether her comments on the nrp are warranted. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -

Personally, I would say this is a good thing - children should have a relationship with both parents wherever possible. I fully suppost cafcass in this aim.
It is only in exceptional cases where it is in the childs best interests not to be able have regular contact with mum and dadWeight loss challenge, lose 15lb in 6 weeks before Christmas.0 -

ROFL.............unless the mother is so obviously deranged and even then sometimes, mother always come out on top with cafcass. There are so many mothers, who once they split from teh fathers of teh child, want to re-write history and excude their dads from their childrens life0 -

In an ideal world yep, would totally agree with you, certainly never intended to be a single parent, but I walked out on a lying, voilent abusive man, who in 8 yrs never gave one thought about his daughter, now he's remarried with a new child, he suddendly wants to be daddy of the year.
When I finally came to be strong enough to make a complaint to the police, I was told it would be a waste of time, despite them initially being involved on a few ocassions...
Unless you dig deep, everyones situaution doesn't always show through, for one reason or another you paper over the cracks and get on with it. then when something happens, the cracks reappear.xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
