I would also like to join if that's ok. My partner and I were hoping to start TTC this month but I found out this week that I am being made redundant shortly so it has had to go on hold until I find another job which is very annoying but does give me chance to lose lots of weight.
I joined Slimming World two weeks ago and have lost 8lbs so far so not doing too badly but could always do with more support and would also like to support others.
I am not posting my bmi as it is shockingly high :eek:0 -

I took a little while to post as I've just had a ring doughnut and I'm meant to be being good this week so I was feeling guilty!
Then I checked my BMI and I thought :eek::eek::eek: I didn't realise it was so high!But I did speak to a nurse a few months ago and she said not to crash diet, just to start eating more healthily and take more exercise. I thought she'd tell me to put off trying until I was slimmer but she said at my age I shouldn't put it off for that reason. So I guess she can't have thought I look too much like an elephant.
So hopefully this thread will kickstart me into action. I've started doing more exercise this week and will slowly try to build it up. Hoping to go for a long walk on Sunday!

DH is losing his job at the end of January, but hopefully he will have found something else by then.0 -
I've changed the first post taking away BMI, switching to a rather ambiguous 'weightloss to date'.
I am a week and a half into weightwatchers and lost 4.5lb in my first week. I wouldn't feel too bad about having a doughnut, by the way. Thanks I have recently had hypnosis to help me with the weight loss as when I have tried to diet before I tend to do ok for a while and then decide I have had enough of dieting. It seems to be working as I haven't struggled yet (fingers crossed it continues).
When I went to see the nurse she said to try and lose weight but thinking about it she didn't say anything about waiting until I had lost the weight before TTC. That probably means I am getting on a bit as well.0 -
A friend at work has just agreed to go for a walk with me one lunchtime next week.0
