Tesco poor level of customer care
Comments

In response to a comment about food defrosting suspiciously quickly, my local Tesco has the frozen food aisles near the entrance of the store. I found that when I did my weekly shop that could take nearly an hour, that my frozen food was getting soft and had started to defrost. I now bypass the frozen section and come back to it at the end. It's therefore not surprising that the food was dripping! I have also had similar issues over vouchers, however the customer service at my store is exemplary.0

If I had bought £10 of food to get this voucher then it's the equivilent of geting a 27.5% discount which isn't too bad. This is a money savings board after all.
Yup...I did one canny shop which included frozen food (most of it on individual offer), loo rolls and which came to over £50, got three vouchers for that and saved over £8 on filling up the car as I left. I didn't think that was a bad deal at all.
And I've never had any problems with coupons, vouchers or customer service in my home store. They might be a bit clueless sometimes over an individual offer but they've always been determined to work it out and I've never come out feeling stupid or put upon. The senior management team regularly take a turn at the tills (it's a big Tesco 24 hour store) so perhaps that keeps them in touch with what's going on?
On my side btw I'm invariably polite, not trying to conduct some sort of coupon or DTD blitz or scam and I only go up to CS with legitimate complaints. Maybe that's the difference? Polite attitude+ fair complaint = polite service + satisfactory solution?Val.0 -
I am not stating that customer care is poor throughout all Tesco stores - I am sure there are plenty where the staff are very helpful and take pride in their work.0

To be fair there is one gentleman who works at my local Tesco branch and he is extremely friendly and always willing to help.0

In all honesty it would be a daft person that did their frozen food shopping first, hardly rocket science.0 -
BoGoF, I only did it the once after the store had a revamp. I actually find it quite annoying that I can't go round the aisles in order, however I have noticed that most people do, must be a lot of daft people out there according to you. My alternative theory is that whoever planned the layout was the daft one! Can't imagine why the frozen and fridge sections are near the beginning, it only was done a couple of years ago as well. I'm quite surprised how rude some people are on this forum which is a real shame, that was quite condescending of you.0

I also meant to add that the reason I responded was that I thought people were being quite rude to the OP even though MSE says that they are a new poster and to be especially nice to them. It gives the forum an unpleasant feel.0

Nicebiscuits, thank you for your previous posts.
In my case, the reason why the frozen items began to thaw was because I was not expecting to argue with Shift Manager after paying for my shop.0 -
All this over a coupon for 5p off every litre.I wouldnt have even bothered.
Why do people post things like this on a money saving website? You might be one of the lucky ones who does not have to watch every penny but I would have thought that most people who come on this site do have to, otherwise why would they be here!OD [STRIKE] £2600 [/STRIKE] £0 :j Loan [STRIKE]£9500.00[/STRIKE] £0 :j Car [STRIKE]£3150[/STRIKE] £0 :j Moving Costs [STRIKE]£1300[/STRIKE] £0 :j Savings £1150 :j

Also, a bit of revision on the use of commas and full stops would not go amiss. Pay particular attention to "run on sentences".
And you might also like to have a look at "my purpose error" as, whatever you intended, it is not grammatically correct.
Ironically, you then proceed to start a sentence with a conjunction.
