Tesco poor level of customer care

  • After having spent the specified amount on frozen food and having paid for my items at the till, I was surprised to find that I was not given the 5p off litre of fuel coupon with my receipt.

Thus, I asked the sales assistant why I did not receive a coupon after having spent £15 on frozen food. Unsurprisingly, the sales assistant did not know anything about the promotion and as usual a manager was called to assist me further.

It should have been printed automatically with your till receipt. Did you check your receipt?
  • The coupon was not printed off at the time, all I had was a receipt.

Were you charged 50p for the receipt?
  • I don't think that this is a troll thread as exactly the same problem was mentioned on another board.

As Shaun says, there's another thread where other people have had the same problem. It looks like the offer hasn't been set up properly on the system.

Having worked at Tesco - people do bother. They bother big time over anything and everyting.

A significant propotion of members of the public are generally knobs. And that has been my experience in every retail job I have done (probably 5 or 6).

That being said, when I worked at Tesco we would do what we could for the customer and if there was any doubt it would usually go in the customers favours. Mistakes do happen with signage and offers not coming up on the till - if that is the case then it is obviously upto the staff to sort it out.

Yes You Have a Right To Your Opinion,

And I Have The Right To Think Your Stupid

If you want to advertise your rights to determine other people's stupidity it might be an idea to learn the difference between "Your" and "You're" lest other people think that you are stupid.

Also, a bit of revision on the use of commas and full stops would not go amiss. Pay particular attention to "run on sentences".

And you might also like to have a look at "my purpose error" as, whatever you intended, it is not grammatically correct.
