    Jumanji,

I know nothing about this but it's just a suggestion.

Have you tried any housing charities? A bit of web surfing could point you in the right direction of somebody who could offer you and OH a place to live for the short term while you keep fighting the council.

There may be organisations run by the Christian Church which could help.

I wish I could help and I hope things get sorted soon!

Jumanji - further to my previous post, have a look at Just Housing which I just found on a quick MSN search.

Sorry if this info comes through twice - I had an error message when trying to send it.

i too had terrible debts they grew so that i was unable to cope with them and ended up making myself ill.i haver been on tranquillisers and prozac for sometime now.i tried for years to cope on my own,but it didnt help.i tried a consolidation loan,DONT USE THESE THEY DO NOT WORK!in the new year i tried to get help from debt free direct although they did try to set up a scheme for me it wasnt feasible as im on a low income and benefits make up a large aprt of my incomeeg.tax creidts etc.also because these will drop as the kids get older things will get worse.i next contacted the cccs, they were great and told me i had nothing to lose by going bankrupt,i dont own a house /car have any assests etc.i went to court earlier this month and although i was terrified it was the best thing i could have ever done!!i have had my debts £16,500 wiped off and now have a clean slate.i have a cash only account,no cheques, debit cards.so i cant spend what i dont have.i would say to anyone who is having money probs to take the step.they are not judgemental but very understanding.one other good thing to come out of all this is i contacted one of my sisters for help with forms and now have reforged our relationship.good luck.

    hi everyone !

Quick question. Malestrom mentioned a deposit of £310 towards the costs of administering your brankruptcy.
Am i right in thinking that this deposit is given back to you ?? as i am thinking of asking a relative for this payment.

    Thanks
