    Hi BH,

I've been keeping up with your thread (even though its had me in tears), checking regularly ever since you posted, but as everyone already gave you the advice I would have I didn't post til now.

You should be incredibly proud of yourself for facing such a huge demon head on and for taking the right steps to deal with it.

You said you didn't deserve your wonderful husband, and I just wanted to say OF COURSE YOU DO!!!! Debt doesn't make you a bad person, and he can obviously see something brilliant in you too. I don't know if you've shown him the support and advice you have been getting from this site, but if not tell him from me that even though I have never met him I already know that he must be a wonderful supportive man and he should be proud of himself too (there are too few truly supportive people out there).

I hope that this is the beginning of much better times for you and your family. I'll be thinking of you all often.

  • thank you again for all your kind words.

I've told my DH about the site and the support and have encouraged him to take a look. He's pretty !!!!ed with me at the moment - i'm just glad he's still with me!
I'm hoping he'll take a look, and have a moan/groan - i'm sure there must be others on here that are like him.
I'm getting on with positive things, I'm writting my thoughts down and i've started a book, for me to write, draw, something to focus on.
Going to start looking at opening a new bank account for our wages to be paid into, and for DD for Prioity bills to be paid from.
once that's done, gonna contact cccs.

    Hi BH

I'm so pleased that you have carried on with your positive steps.
Whilst no doubt your husband is a little tee'd off at the moment, as you have taken the first steps to sorting out the debts, then deep down he's probably quite proud.

If you're reading this Mr BH, here's a tissue to wipe the coffee from the screen.

Keep on posting, we are all here to help each other.

Hi BH, i have been reading this thread and just wanted to say well done you and hang on in there. I too had went through hell before I had my LBM and began to deal with my debts and I also had to deal with the possibility of losing my OH when I told him the true extent of my debts, but the relationship survived and I would say it is even stronger now than it has ever been. good luck.

  • The way you made your first post so rang a ball with me.
I was in a similar situation in Aug last year - not financially but with the Tax office. Long story but I never 'got round' to registering as self employed. They finally caught up with me and I felt as desperate as you did a couple of days ago.
I have managed to sort everything out and am happy to be in the situation now where I am no longer afraid of the post dropping thru the door.
I am SO glad that you have confronted your problem head on. You deserve all the help you will be given now.

    Take care.

  • Hi

I was feeling like you 6 months ago untill i was told about this site. I explained to my Husband and I have kept up with my payments without falling behind.
BUT you have admitted it to yourself and have come to the right place for help. Everyone on this site have been or still are in debt and the support you will receive is from real people.People that understand and care. You have admitted to yourself how much you owe so thats a start. Well done.

This site saved my life, seriously. So it will help you if you really want it to.
Have you cut up your cards and stopped spending? If not then do it now!!
I didnt do that at first but then I started to buy things for the children in the sales etc....I got up a few days later and the items were in the bags still so i took them back and cut the cards up.Best move I ever done.

Please do not give up and the sooner you talk to your husband the better.

    All the best

Just wanted to say hi :hello: and welcome. Good Luck with it all and remember there's almost always someone around on here to chat to. You can do it. Wishing you all the best and I'm sure as soon as you deal with the medical side you'll feel better about it all. There is obviously something underlying it all which needs sorting out.

Anyway Good Luck and keep us posted and we'll all give you our suggestions for cutting back where we can.
