Exactly. I don't have a photographic memory but I don't recall seeing that tip in the book, much less on the site.
I might certainly be wrong, because after all I'm only a bloke - but she sure picked an odd one there.
And yes I know...

Thanks Squeaky, I've been racking my brain all morning wondering how I missed that particular tip in the book. Make coat hangers? When loads of shops will give you a handful for free if you ask nicely! What book was this woman actually reading? Sounds more like TWG to meOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things

Apparently OS and yet she's banging on about Clarins hand creme?!
Retrograde in the extreme!
I hope she chokes on the fumes of her WD40 quite frankly.

Bit of a contradiction, there?******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0 -
I have just sent an e mail to them saying that I thought it was a very one sided opinionated review that missed out the good points of the book.
Edit: If anyone else wants the e mail address it is here: http://news.independent.co.uk/article293866.ece0 -
What a load of rubbish! I also notice, that short of emailing them which will obviously remain private unless they decide to divulge it, there is no way of responding to this article and voicing an opinion! The narrow-mindedness of some people, especially those who think they're better off although what counts as better off is all a matter of opinion - I'd rather be at home all day to tend to the house etc and look after/play with DD when she gets home from school than go out to work and have to pay for childcare, cleaner, gardener or spend my "free" time cooking/cleaning/gardening and neglecting to spend time with my partner and daughter! I guess you could say that THAT is an old style attitude, but even if I went out to work, we would be no better off financially due to extra expenses..... could she give up work and look after a home/family and still use the over priced cosmetics? I don't think she could!Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0

Come on, people, it's her choice, just as being OS is yours. If hse wants to use Clarins, then let her. OS isn't for everyone, is it? You're slagging her off for slagging you off! I remember about two years ago this Rosie woman wrote about having £40k debt on her credit cards and frozen bank accounts, but then it transpired she and her husband owned property here and in Paris worth about £2m  Article here. So not exactly skint. No wonder she doesn't need to be OS!!

Well exactly. Not everyone NEEDS to be. Some people choose to be because they like to be frugal and good to the planet, some people because they have to be, some because they prefer to save their money, and some just don't have to be. Some need to be part OS/part "normal" (I use that word hesitantly) and some, myself included would never wash ny hair using Stardrops (I swear I've seen that on here before now) or feed my family exclusively on Value products.
Each to their own.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0
