MSE News: Halifax launches Premium Bond-style savings draw - is it any good?

Can anyone here (ideally working for the Halifax) confirm whether I'd be eligible for the April draw if I funded my account late on the 1st March. The 5k will obviously need to remain in the account for the rest of the month.
They say 'the whole month', but does that mean closing balance each day, or the whole 24hours of each day?
I did ring them to try & get confirmation, but the guy I spoke to didn't seem to grasp what I was getting at. He said I'd be eligible, but as they don't tell you whether you were / are / will be, in the draw, I guess I'll never know?!
I can get more interest in Santander, so if I won't be eligible, I'll move it out again 'til 31st March!0 -
How do you check that you are registered? I didn't get an email just a text message when I applied a few months ago.0

You can't check it online, you'd have to ring them to ask them. I didn't receive an email either, only a text, not that I'm eligible anymore as I've just transferred my ISA away from them, so no longer have any savings with them, just my Reward Current Accounts for my free fivers. The liklihood of my winning anything in the prize draw (with my luck - or lack of it!) wasn't enough to make me keep my ISA with them, I choose the definite better ISA rate elsewhere any time.0 -
has anyone won anything yet? where is the list of winners/how do you know if you've won?0

Bumping this to ask if anyone else here has won anything? I haven't - but I rang recently to check I was still registered, and I am.0

I won £100 about a year ago, nothing since.0

Apologies if this has been raised already ... we're always told not to give our bank details out but on page 2 of the registration process they ask for the sort code and account number. Shouldn't name and address suffice to track down eligible account holders?0
-
A sort code and account number is much more precise than a name and address. You shouldn't worry, you are only providing the information to Halifax.
Also millions of people have been giving out their sort codes and account numbers on cheques for decades.0
