I think that the Halifax should provide a free entry route to their Northern Ireland customers. There are ways and means of doing this rather than discriminating against us.0

I have signed up and thanked you for your post...but I never visit the home page as I have a short cut to the sign on page and no mention is made once you are in your accounts page. So Im thankful for the information.0 -

Where is the incentive for people in NI to stay with Halifax?Total disgrace.
It's a business that has invested in a big Belfast call centre, employing many in NI, rather than going overseas as others have done, or staying in Great Britain as they could have done.
I suspect the likes of Halifax have done more for competition in the NI banking and savings market than any of the other players there.0 -
I shall sign up too since I'm planning to put even more into my Reward Websaver - shifting it from Nat West whose rates are pitiful.
Also don't forget to check if you qualify for the Halifax's extra 0.2% interest on savings accounts for current account customers and sign up for that - something else that is not automatic but well worthwhile!0 -
It's not Halifax, it's our stupid goverment and the gambling law of 2005!"It will take, five, 10, 15 years to get back to where we need to be. But it's no longer the individual banks that are in the wrong, it's the banking industry as a whole." - Steven Cooper, head of personal and business banking at Barclays, talking to Martin Lewis0

I think they've withdrawn the extra 0.20% offer since migration over to LTSB. It still stands for those who already have it until the expiry date.0
