I dont agree with them going to Poland but that said its something to do with saving money by changing and or using cheaper ingredients, they also went to Poland to save money cheaper work force. The taste isnt the same.
Just had some caramel and the taste just isn't there anymore, very disappointing and nothing to do with production changes to Poland or reading the Daily mail (which I don't) has someone has wrongly suggested.0 -
Cant say ive noticed the taste being poor with cadburys choc but then it has been some time since ive had any. I do like aldi and lidls chocolate though. Galaxy is also nice.0

I haven't noticed any change to my favourite Cadburys chocolate until yesterday, when I bought a 120g block of Turkish.
Normally, I get a slight 'kick' out of eating chocolate and it temporarily boosts my mood, but I just carried on eating it until it was all gone and the promised feeling never came. I would normally feel a bit woozy if I ate a whole bar, but that didn't happen either. It was absolutely gutted.
I thought that I'd cheer myself up with a bar of Milka - bad mistake, for that is also made by Kraft and tasted very flat and candylike.
I guess it's Galaxy for me then ;-) I hope that they haven't changed the Cadburys recipe, as it's my favourite chocolate in the whole world and yes, before you say it, I have tried Green and Black's etc. and I much prefer the cheap stuff.0 -
my husband is a chocoholic but has gone right off cadburys only eats it if there is nothing else says its gritty, i got him a bar of dark choc with hazelnuts from llidl and he says its delicious0

I don't eat much choc ....... for myself I buy the Aldi with chilli and it's in 5 small separately wrapped bars ....... it lasts me at least a fortnight. My hubby however would demolish a cartload of choc in one sitting given the opportunity ..... he doesn't like chilli ..... hence my choice ;-) despite my pref for dark over milk I could always just switch to a bit of cdm when it suited me. I was disappointed with the takeover (Cadbury was targetted) but Kraft promised to leave things alone ..... once they moved operations that was the final straw for me ..... no more cadbury's in my house ! Today however in Tesco easter eggs buy 2 get 2 free .......... so of course temptation marred my sense of what is right - or maybe everyone is bouycotting cadbury ? ....... so I bought 4 .........for my hubby - they are quite small - not a lot of content so I would have expected him to be tempted to open a second egg tonight - Not so !!!!! He went to bed and I noticed he left some egg ...... thought I'll finish that off ............... I'm sitting here thinking it's the worse thing I could have done ... have this oily coating on my tongue ..... it's disgusting !!!! he isn't here to ask ..... but he left some ? ........ that in itself is bizarre ......... I googled this topic coz I thought 'is it me' ? The recipe I think has definately changed ....... the way I feel right now ..... buy 1 get 20 free and I won't be tempted .......... rock on Aldi choc0

Cadbury Roses, Cadbury Fingers also taste totally different. My kids didnt notice but I noticed it right away and just couldnt eat them. I for one wont be buying them anymore.0

I, too, have noticed Cadburys chocolate no longer tastes of chocolate, but of sugar.0

Another vote for both Aldi dark chocolate and Tesco Finest.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

I agree, I was given a tin of roses for christmas and they tasted...well almost soapy. There was also no melt in the mouth sensation which is supposedly what makes part of the experience of eating chocolate so sensual and enjoyable.
I'm eating Aldi fruit and nut for my cheap and cheerful chocolate now - it's yummy0 -
My maternal grandfather worked for Lindt so I was very lucky to have grown up with really good chocolate.
Galaxy is cloying and far too sweet, Cadbury's Dairy Milk always had a distinctive chocolate smell, but tasted like sweet grainy mud to me. Hershey's is pretty much the same but sweeter. Twirl could sometimes taste faintly like strawberry as if if was overcooked somehow.
Chocolat Menier was sold to Nestle in the 90s and that disappeared. It was the best chocolate for home-cooking and my mother made great chocolate cake with it
I eat Lindt Excellence 90% cocoa chocolate. I can't be let loose anywhere selling Leonidas chocolates www.leonidas.com which is sooo much better than Godiva.
I find Green & Black's too sweet now that I am used to the dark side of chocolate  but the chocolate ice cream is great.
My mother is really really fussy about chocolate and if someone gives her Thorntons or Cadbury's she just wouldn't eat them. She says Milk Tray, Black Magic and Quality Street used to taste of chocolate and now it just tastes of sugar.0
