Childhood memories?

I am crying here not because I am sad, But because I have finally found the video I used to watch from the age of a toddler constantly. And now my VHS just does not work as it was always playing.

Jack and the Beanstalk.. :)

Do any of you remember this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9z9hB0yC69w&feature=related

I have just ordered it on DVD and I can't wait to share it with my kids.. It may be a tad weird, BUT it's just the best.

Now am trying to find hero high too.. lol

What are you child hood memories of videos etc.. And would you get them now?

I feel old now as we didn't have videos. Only posh people had a VCR when I was little, and they were huge and sounded like an aircraft engine when you rewound the tape :o
Here I go again on my own....
  • Fraggle Rock.

Sadly there's no DVD of the UK version, so I'm trying to decide whether to get the US version (without Fulton Mackay ) for my son, or not to bother :o

All our videos were recorded off the TV, you couldn't buy loads back then could you, and I don't think we even had one until I was about 12, rented from DER.

Another one of my favouries... Keep looking, because I never thought my child hood movie would ever be on DVD until I had a brain wave of one of the songs, and you tubed it :) .........
  • I love Charlie And The Chocolate Factory (Gene Wilder Version).

I can remember watching "Black Beauty" and the theme used to make me cry.

Don't remember that version of Jack And The Beanstalk to be honest.

Loved The Incredible Hulk with Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno.

Apparently the originals have been lost, so there's no hope of a UK DVD.

Some stuff on youtube but hideous quality :(

Me too, we certainly didn't have a video player. I remember getting a colour tv and that was very exciting especially as my Dad loved watching snooker, and I got fed up trying to guess which one was the yellow and blue ball.

I recently got The Waltons and Little house on the prairie on DVD for my Daughter and we watched some of them together,it was lovely to share a little insight into my childhood with her.
