  • I love remembering stuff from when I was little.

I loved button moon too it was great! there is a dvd now, my then 3 year old loved the old vhs tape at my mums so I tracked down the dvds at amazon. watch it a lot still!
I liked "stop it and tidy up" and "the trap door" :) and the racoons!

there was a programme/video I remember that I cant find anything about - any help would be wonderful! it was a cartoon based thing and always started with a child in their bed. then they went somewhere where they were happy to be chosen and had to go through a tiny door I think. the chant was something like "getting smaller, smaller, smallest still" and they shrank, ran through the door and ended up with animal families who looked a bit like sylvanian families. there was always something for the kid to help with likr the fox trying to destroy a picnic or the bear doctor needing to be found to help a baby rabbit....?! then the kid would go back home to bed and the next story was a different child.
I cant have made all that up lol but I cant find it!!
  • Sorry Balancelife seems we grew up in the same era but I don't recall anything like at all. I hope someone else can help you though I know how much Small World was bugging me when I couldn't find anything about it anywhere.

If you can remember any more of the theme tune you could try googling the lyrics and see if anything comes back.

I instantly thought of Jamie and his magic torch too. I bought the Button Moon DVD before I even had children lol My daughter wasn't impressed with it but my Son will watch it now and again but it's not a favourite as I hoped.

I am waiting for them to get a bit older so I can introduce them to the delights of Wurzel and Aunt Sally :D

Me too :D. I still don't have children, but still watch it, and still remember the day in my early twenties when I saw the DVD in HMV for only a few quid and jumped on it like a lion on an antelope.

You appreciate things about them that you never really noticed the first time around too. I absolutely love how everything is obviously made of bean tins and other various junk, and they haven't even bothered trying to disguise it at all. You can even tell what brand of beans it was! You'd never get that sort of thing these days.

"This is Mr Spoon. He's called Mr Spoon because he has got wooden spoons for arms." I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY ACTUALLY SAID THAT! :rotfl::rotfl:

Curse you all, I really want to watch it RIGHT NOW, but it's away at my mum and dad's place so I can't, boo.
