No it won't because if it does the complaints to trading standards about their VERY shoddy pricing standards would soar! The publicity would be terrible and wouldnt be worth the few thousand quid they lose on DTD refunds, specially when you consider how many people who get overcharged don't go back for a refund of any description!!

To go back to the debate about rNr ending that's exactly what many posters said (including myself)and it just happened without any complaints to trading standards or press coverage. If I were Tesco I would change the policy to a Tesco voucher for the bonus part of DTD. Watch this space

  • Thought I would post my first ever DTD find here.
My local store, Antr!m had an end of aisle display of Karcher vacumns and steam cleaners, I noticed that the steam cleaners had a SEL underneath of £15 ( i didnt cross check the barcodes). So bought it, and it went through at £64, I noticed once I took it to the car, went back in and the gave me DTD which resulted in a refund of £98.
The SEL related to the Vacumn cleaners which had the incorrect £64 SEL underthem.
The steam cleaner doesnt appear to be online, however it looks like Tesco is selling off this vacumn for £15 in store

It may not be exact same model, as I didnt note down the model number, but I do know it was the one that blows as well as sucks (oooo er missus!)

  • Just had an awful experience in Tesco (surprise surprise!).

Had grabbed my mom a bargain top for 4p but had to go to customer services to return something.
Horrible trout women saw the 4p top and barked how i "shouldn't have been sold that. What till did i go to?"
When i said self service, she went on about how i shouldn't have done that and to give it back!
    !!!!!!??!!!
Bit embarrassed but knew she was 100% out of order.
Made complaint when i got home and store manager will be telling her off.
    Feel much better now.

Trial & error, double checking receipts, checking Sel , self scanning products. Quite a bit of work but worth it:D

  • Just got my first ever 1p item!!! In Springhill, Bangor NI.

Tesco small pet hamster starter home
    bc - 5051399402666

    states on it-
    suitable for hamster and mice
water bottle with clip (inside bottle)
climbing tunnel x2, feeding platform x2, feeding bowl,
    exercise wheel, cage.
    size l 40cm x w 30cm x h 37cm (approx.)

in a mostly green box with blue stripe on the top and a big picture of the assembled cage. It looks good, never went through SS so quickly, my Mum asked what was wrong and had to tell her they don't like selling things so low, even the guy I asked to get the price for me said I had to ask at CS if they could sell it to me!!
Got the last 2 for my son's 2 hamsters as we found out that he's got 1 of each sex even though i asked for both to be the same!
None in Knocknagoney or Newtonbreda my Mum just had to go and check so she could get a bargain too!
    SPC #329 £471/£500 banked
    SPC 2014 £1100:D
