Not a grabbit before you all get excited but saving money non the less, my mum recently moved and needed something to reduce the stale smell left behind by previous owner, I bought some of the plug in air smellies only to find someone has taken the 'smelly' out of the boxes. Not impressed as when shopping with kids you are just happy to find what you can and get out without tears or tantrums. Just a word of warning when buying these, especially since the elusive, for me, Japanese smell about, check first or not so money saving travelling back to the store which I cannot do for a while now.
A happy wife, and mum to 2 lovely little boys :j

so the sels with a *, are they likely to be 1p items? or a good chance of being?

    * means they are discontinued and from them staff can see when they are going down in price again and on what date. I know as i often ask staff to scan them with their handheld thingy's. They then tell me when its next due to be reduced and how much its going to be. HTH :)

Oooh does Welly have a scanner? I had no idea. Was up there at the weekend but thought DH might file for divorce if I made him and the kids go to Ts and scan random stuff he thinks (knows) we don't need!

MK Bletch does have scanners if that helps? I hought I was the only one around this neck of the woods.

Yeah they have 2! One in clothing and one by nappies or CDs I think! The bletchl3y one is too far as I pop in my lunch hour but welly is my local. Think I might go today for a normal shop and see what bargains I can get!!
Whoever said money can't buy happiness simply didn't know where to go shopping !!

Got to disagree with you....do you really think that anyone in Tesco IT could get access to Tescos pricing database....Think there might be security and access limitations.Price changes will probably require several levels of authorisation before being implemented on god knows how many computer systems with a lot of this being offshored

Bangalore if my info is correct.:)

The lad who was stocking up some stain fresh told me that this was the last lot, as it was being discontinued. He said 'anything with the asterisk on is being discontinued' - this was in Tesco

This is what I understood and have posted before on this subject. I have, however, seen items with a * on them stay for months like that and then find that the * dissapears from the SEL. One item in point is the Oxford range of pads/notebooks. They went * in October 2011 and are still there at original prices
