First Time Buyer Worries!

Once the mortgage is in place I'm going to be able to sleep at night I think, I know the searches the solicitors will do will all come back fine and the deposit is good to go! fingers crossed the fact the valuation has been done means they are happy with what they found on our credit checks they did last week and Monday and our payslips.
I'm so sorry to hear about your audit problem, I really hope it doesn't take too long to resolve and if your IFA is like ours (an absolute legend) I'm sure there is nothing at all to worry about0 -

Wow, didn't see that coming. So after all I am special !!!
I was reading one of your old posts where you mentioned about PASS with A B or C when broker makes application. In either case, any fast tracked application with PASS A becomes slow train (is this still the case?) I truly hope not. Have you had any exp dealing with an immigrant in the uk with just over 7 months left on visa (though I have been in the UK for past 9 years and Mrs for 5 years) getting success? Thats where we are and I think that is very solid reason why its been pulled for Audit, well at least I think thatkingstreet wrote: »Yes. It appears to confirm your case has been pulled for audit. Although the number of cases suggested is wildly inaccurate. It's around 1 in 12 which is actually checked.0 -
Thanks!! Yap, I need all those wishes my way at the moment lol. Yeh, Solicitors searches are usually not that bad and long as you ain't been bankrupt and all that, it should be fine. Good luck, may tonight be the night when you can sleep peacefully knowing you have the mortgage offerSusieWoozy wrote: »Once the mortgage is in place I'm going to be able to sleep at night I think, I know the searches the solicitors will do will all come back fine and the deposit is good to go! fingers crossed the fact the valuation has been done means they are happy with what they found on our credit checks they did last week and Monday and our payslips.

The audit process pulls cases at random. Any sticky-outy bits in your application should have been dealt with at the underwriting stage. Audit is a simple checking process where they are looking for discrepancies between what's on the application and what the supporting documentation says. Being a non-EU national shouldn't make you any more likely to have your case audited.
Fast-track cases pulled for audit effectively go through the same process as non Fast-track because the documentation which would have been requested early in the process is simply requested later on.
TBH - if fast-track was removed the audit process wouldn't be needed. It's only there to check on cases to keep everyone honest about what they put on the application. As brokers get proof of income in every case and are ready to send it if it's called for at audit, I'd certainly welcome the end of fast-track.I am a mortgage broker. I think reading below puts me at lot of ease. Because with our case, there are no manufactured documents and all are 100% verifiable. Thanks a ton mate, appreciate all your advices and comments. :Tkingstreet wrote: »The audit process pulls cases at random.
