She sounds like the type of person who is always surrounded by chaos and bad stuff-get your daughter out asap.0

Lady K - have you checked your household insurance as to whether your daughter may be covered on that? Im sure when I was living away at Uni in a private rented house that I was covered on my parents home insurance - can remember being surprised at th etimeWeight Loss - 102lb0

Make sure the university knows about the break-in. It will help to get deadlines extended etc to ease some pressure.
this girl asking for the details would be committing fraud if she tried to claim falsely, and anyone who helps could also find themselves on the wrong side of the law.
Look after your daughter in the way mums know best and make sure that greedy little brat knows exactly where she stands.
God luck.Don't bother trying to sue me - I've got no money!0 -
I've been thinking about this and the more I do, the more I'm convinced that the right thing to do would be to:
1. move your daughter
2. report the other girl to the police and the university authorities0 -

Unfortunately I only have buildings insurance because I couldnt afford both as my buildings is high because of old subsidence. I thought I'd cover the most important till I was in a better position, too late for this I know but I will be looking into this asapThanx

She has informed the university about this and I think they will allow for her maybe handing work in a bit later.
As for moving out she is contracted for a year and would still have to pay the rent but at the same time she would still need other accom so we cant afford it. She is planning on moving out as soon as the years up I think that might be June or July
I rang the police today to ask them to please look into the friends of this girl just in case theres a connection to the crime. The policeman dealing with this wasnt on duty but he will be tomorrow. I think I'm going to tell him that she asked for the crime number to make a claim so they are aware of itThanx

Go lyyods tsb through quidco and get 125 cashback!
and grass the other girl up to the colege so she gets caught out when trying to make a cliam. it might go on her refferace then...If i upset you don't stress, never forget that god aint finished with me yet.0 -
Thanx I never thought of quidco, how will I know if it will cover my daughter too do I have to give them her address aswell? She would be swapping address in the middle of the covered year too how would that affect it? And would I have to tell them specifically what wants covering as we havent replaced the items yet
My building is with zurichThanx

I think the cashback offers are for buildings or both but not contents on thier own. I would have difficulty getting buildings insurance online through quidco as it has to be looked into because of the subsidence and I dont think I'll get cashback on just contents but if anyone knows different please let me knowThanx

Have you told the landlord about the problems that this girl is causing? If so, and if no action is taken, then your daughter should be able to break her contract.0
