Why we have riots

Tamara Ecclestone, 27-year-old daughter of Bernie, has sent 5 people to the Amazon to look for rock crystal to make a bathtub. She says "It's costing £1m because I've got to reinforce the floor and I've had to pay for everyone's travel and the hauling back and polishing of the crystal. But I spend a lot of time in the bath, so it's worth it."
"It will take, five, 10, 15 years to get back to where we need to be. But it's no longer the individual banks that are in the wrong, it's the banking industry as a whole." - Steven Cooper, head of personal and business banking at Barclays, talking to Martin Lewis

I was so outraged when I read your post that I broke into Dixons and stole 3 plasma televisions, if she continues with this crystal bath quest I will almost certainly steal some trainers next week.
I was going to burn my neighbours garage down but they didn't seem to understand, they thought I was just being a thug and didn't see the relevance of the crystal bath to their garage at all.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -

People don't, that's the trouble.
I agree instead of concentrating on improving my position in life and letting others get on with spending their own money on what they want I think it's much better to be jealous and riot so that I can steal and commit arson.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -
The riots didn't appear to be anything to do with an oppressed working class struggling to right inequalities with the aim of achieving a more just society.
To me it looked like opportunism from a (possibly unaware) mob.
Now get a few more stories like the crystal bath out there and who knows what might happen."A thousand candles can be lit from a single candle without shortening the life of that candle."
I still am Puddleglum - phew!0 -
I think the crystal bath story demonstrates how unequally money is distributed within the population but doesn't explain why a significant proportion of today's yoof can't be arsed to work hard to achieve things in life and prefer to sit on their collective backsides and wait or everything to come to them. All I seem to hear is blah blah blah!0

When I read your post OP I assumed you'd give us a clue as to why we have riots.
Wrong title?0 -
The reason she can afford a 1m bath is because her parents both made a sucess of themselves in their respective fields (magnate, model). I'm not commending them as people (his attitudes stink for example) but he has worked his way up in the world from leaving school at 16. That's an achievement in my book.Emergency savings: 4600

Exactly Brallaqueen - both her parents are self-made. Whatever you or I may think about the crystal bath story, it's their own self-made money and they have every right to spend it on whatever they see fit. The OP is way off the mark here and is just pandering to the liberal metropolitan elite view.0

Would it be ok if I could burn down either your garage or your parents instead then?
