  • Hi im new to couponing and was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to share some of there knowledge...... Where is the best place to get vouchers. Would really appreciate some help as we have had to tighten the purse strings again.

Hi miss piggy19 - if you just want to do nothing more than simply 'click and print' your coupons and not give out any personal details there's a thread on this site that gives you these coupons.

Just google or put into 'Forum Search' near top of this page:

    Supermarket-only PDF money-off coupons

You can then just click on any coupon and print out as many copies of it as you like.

I know - because I do it all the time!

    1. how do you store your coupons?

In 3 :o 10p Tesco Basics Photo Albums (I have them separated into store specific / any store / PDF)

    2. when do you know how to use them at the best time?

It takes a lot less time now thanks to MT's shopping list :T:T but keep an eye out for emails/flyers for store events that give advance notice of price reductions too.

    4. what sort of routine do you have - how much time do you spend doing this?

I usually check the threads once early afternoon and once in the evening, I also check Facebook as I'm signed up to a lot of random companies whose products I use on the off chance they advertise a coupon. Every now and then I'll pop into SSM & BIS in case they have a new one (but usually people are much quicker than me and they've already been posted :D) If I get a big bundle of new coupons I'll cut them out and organise my folders whilst watching the TV in the evening.

    5. do I need to invest a LOT of time at the beginning to get it all going, and then less time in future? Just printing the MSE and SSM vouchers took about 4 hours.

I felt like that when I started - and my OH's face as I went through the printer paper :rotfl: but now it's really just maintaining so doesn't take any where near as long. You'll also learn which to print and which not to - ie: There's very little point me printing anything from Morrisons as the only one in my area is tiny and never has the products in stock. etc

    6. Where do you get cheap printer paper from!

My last lot came from Viking Direct @ about £1.99 a ream - they have frequent offers and if you sign up to their newsletter they will let you know when they have Free Delivery Fridays. Before that I used to buy from The Works but their prices have just gone up

My advice would also to be to have a separate email address for signing up to newsletters etc as you get an awful lot of 'junk' sent out - but be sure to check it carefully as sometimes it isn't obvious that there is a coupon hidden away.

Sign up for sites like Bzz.co.uk - they send you vouchers to trial products (last one was for ice-cream). You have to leave feedback reports but it doesn't take long.

If you don't have them already get yourself a Facebook and Twitter account. You don't need to become a social media butterfly but some coupons are only available via these sites. I have a separate FB account for my couponning so they don't get lost amongst the [STRIKE]pointless[/STRIKE] important posts from my friends and family :p

Find out how much the ink costs for your printer - if it is very expensive it might be worth investing in a printer where the inks won't outstrip the savings you are making. Of course don't rush out and buy one until you are sure couponning is for you :D

It is worth it - even my sceptical OH is coming around to see that :p I did a Tesco shop on Saturday and with coupons/offers/multibuys we got a £112 shop down to £56 - a 50% saving for savvy shopping :D

    Hey guys,

For the whsmith voucher when you spend £20 or more in store and get £5 off.
Can I buy the: Kobo Wireless eReader and get £5 off?

EDIT: Also can I use 2 x £5 off [voucher from the 'updated printable money' thread and the man gave me a receipt that says £5 off too]. Also another 20% off - got a 'privilege card' that was given to me.

Could I use all 3 off them?
