Version 6 is out with some mags but only Demo Version.

Are we sure that this is not just a demo disk?

  • This is a truly great deal, particularly for small businesses, as you can have up to 2 copies registered at an address for either personal or business use.

Luckily i'm currently in the PC PRO 3 for £1 trial and i've already received the DVD.

Although this is not the latest version, it's still more than adequate for most DTP requirements, and is a HUGE improvement over the likes of MS Publisher, Serif PagePlus et al.

Snap 'em up quick! .. and don't forget, if you have the CD or DVD from the Jan 2007 issue of Computer Shopper you need to get it registered online before the 25th Jan.

No this is the full V5 version that was out before xmas, the same company publish both magazines and frequently give the same programs away on different mags at different times.

This is the full version of QuarkXpress 5.01.

As stated above, 2 licenses allowed per address (but you'll need 2 copies of the Mag so you get 2 different serial numbers), for personal or business use.

There is also an offer to upgrade the version (once registered) to QuarkXpress 7 for a reduced price.

March edition will probably not be out in the shops yet though as it is only Jan now

  • Subscribers will be receiving the issue now (I received it 2 days ago).

According to the PCPro website, it's on sale now.

Monthly computer magazines are often released about a month before the cover date. I haven't a clue why.

Please note though that this is a PC only version. Of no use to Mac users.
Thanks I missed the Digital camera edition for January which also had this Freebie.
Seems like I will carry on with my Serif software on my PC laptop after reading message about how unfriendly it is.
I use an Apple for most work and had to buy a Windows installed laptop to run my Serif software which I love.
DTP for MAcs was way tooooooooo expensive for my needs. But I use Adobe Elements on the MAC

You might get lucky, dennis publishing own Mac User as well, email them and ask if it will be coming out with the Mac version of Quarkxpress.

Or use bootcamp if you can.

A few things you can do:

Put the disk in your drive & manually look for it.

Contact PC Pro - login to your subscription account (or call them using the number mentioned)

Post a message on their Cover Disc Forum.

    Good luck, G
