I would have thought a swing and a bouncer are a bit similar and unless you have a big house, quite space taking as well!

Have you got an activity mat/gym yet? I like these two and hoping my mum is going to get us one of the two.

  • Blimey Gilly you really do have everything already! Why not go for the changing bag then and offer to put the rest of the money in if it is over their budget - or have the money and get the bag yourself :)

Was saying that to OH yesterday, how much money we've spent is horrendous, annoyed at myself because I said as soon as I got pregnant "oh I won't get carried away with everything" and I have, completely. Fair enough we've had a few things bought for us, but a lot of us we've bought ourselves, it's all the little bits and bobs that add up too. I have shopped for the cheapest/best deals for most things though, apart from the pram! but it's the one we both loved I guess :o

Ladies I feel silly asking this as i'm so early on. But today I have a lot of pain above my belly button all over. It feels like i've done a million sit ups. Now i'm only 9 1/2 weeks surely it's too early for stretching this high up?!

I duno Rebekah, most pains I had were like crampy period pains :(

OH is just back from picking up my muslins from Tesco, he said it was crazy! Just put my cheesecake in the fridge to set and going to do Choc Fudge Cake tomorrow, I really want to get it over and done with tonight, but not sure if it would be fresh enough for Christmas Day, even though I make it with oil rather than butter, so will leave it until tomorrow :(

Chinese for tea I think :D

I can believe how crazy. Yesterday on the way to the hospital, we were stuck in traffic tailing back for 30 minutes getting onto the main A road, it was only when we got on the road, we could see the reason for the traffic was a queue gridlocking the adjacent road waiting to get into the Tesco car park! A half an hour wait just to get to tescos, and the car park was gridlocked too. I cant imagine waiting over an hour just to get into Tesco. Just thinking about the checkouts makes me shudder. Crazy..

Feel a bit sorry for DH. He has snuck off to Sainsbo's, i assume to buy me a card and get some wrapping paper for my pressie (fortunately that got me off the hook from going with him :D). I gave him a short list of other things to get, and he is dropping off some old clothes in the recycling as well. The queues are going to be hideous..

Thanks Jen. I'll keep all my fingers and toes crossed that this is the start of things for you and that you get your baby home before xmas day!

I'm accepting now that with my old carrot of a cervix, that i'll be post xmas, so i'm going to keep the PMA, and that is that my M/L doesnt actually start till the 27th, so if bean stays put till then, then my pay for December will stay as it was paid, and i wont have it recalculated and adjusted in Jan.

The best of it is, it's a small Tesco Metro in the centre of town, so wouldn't like to imagine people were doing all there Christmas food shopping there

Aw bless him, I had to sit in the bedroom last week while OH wrapped my presents, it's something he's actually really good at, they look so pretty compared to the ones I've wrapped for him :o

I'm trying to persuade mines to walk round to the Chinese to get us dinner, as ordering anything tonight will be a nightmare I think.

It's so weird for me, first Christmas Eve since I started work, that I've not been in work, tomorrow. Won't know what to do with myself.

They say birth is imminent when feeling the need to clean everything.....cleaned the oven, the toaster, the kettle, the grill, the utility room, including all the bird feeders in the garden (why?), the inside of the drawers......hope its not too imminent as I want to make it past New Year at least!

Noi chance of birth being imminent here then... have never felt *less* like cleaning in my life! :D

Pizza here for me! OH is out for the evening so am trawling t'interweb trying to figure out the best deal between Papa Johns or Domino's...

Sorry you had a rubbish day Kira! And sorry that you have a carrot for a cervix... :D Hopefully extra EPO will help...

Jenjade - really hope things start happening for you and you have your baby home for Christmas!

I've finally wrapped all my presents! And have also thrown a mini hospital bag together so I can take some stuff with me to my parents tomorrow, just in case something happens in the 48 hours we'll be there.

Sofa time now, might put a film on when my pizza arrives...
