Many thanks Gilly for updating for me on here.

Our little girl, Rose Lira, was born at 0109hrs on the 19th Dec, after a 6hr 40min labour. She was 57cm lomg, 36cm head, and weighed 8lb 11.5oz. Full head of hair- my Dad joked that only a day old, she needed a haircut already. Big blue eyes.

Can't stop staring at her. Took to breastfeeding immediately- not a problem at all. Keep thinking I've stolen her, she's too cute. DH keeps grinning and getting soppy over her.

Very, very tired, I lost a lot of blood and transfusions were considered (still are, borderline for one). Get tired so easy, and even a short shower leaves me exhausted. Have been advised not to carry Rose upstairs on my own,in case that tips my blood and I pass out... My arms are covered in bruises from the sheer amount of blood tests I had carried out.

Was fine until the day after the birth when I woke after a snooze and was freezing cold, then boiling hot, and couldn't think straight, my thoughts were all muddled up. Midwives and consultants were called, and eventually discovered the problems with low levels in blood- and low blood. I was monitored all night, with a BP machine on one arm, a drip in the other, and a nebulising mask over my face as I couldn't breathe.

Labour was actually fine, enjoyed parts to an extent!

Here's my gorgeous first Christmas present-

She's so alert, keeps trying to look around her. Despite having perfect hearing, my angel was the only baby in an entire ward that slept through a false fire alarm this morning! :)

Still can't believe it, it seems so surreal.....

Apologies, I have read back, but couldn't post and thanks to everyone for asking over me.

What a nightmare I'm creating for myself. Was thinking about asking for a changing bag (the one I really want :o ) but it's expensive and may come across as cheeky.

Why not ask for the rest in vouchers for somewhere that stocks the bag then you can put the rest to it.

Pictures aren't great and I don't know why as I had the flash on, but yeah... mostly new born and some of the accessories are 0-3. Won't even get started on the 0-3 + stuff. As it'd be never ending! I have nowhere to put this crap
