    Congratulations Phoenix!!!!!

So, I went to collect my Soap & Glory bag from Boots and spend all those vouchers. It is just that I arrived at Boots (20 min drive) and couldn't find my wallet! Then I remembered I had it upstairs on my desk to pay something yesterday... So, I drove back, I drove the opposite way I intended to go the first time - first stopped at Asda and got the Huggies starter kit and 3pennies change!!!! Then went to a retail park that has some maternity wear and got another pair of New Look jeans and a discounted top (£8! - black, turtle neck, long sleeves). I now know that I am size 13 at New Look, as size 12 jeans I could barely pull up and they were very tight, whereas size 14 was bordering on falling down!

Next was Boots, got my Soap&Glory, changing bag, the bottle, and bag of pampers nappies, and a few more bits for our trip. And the last stop - Sainsbury's, one more bag of Huggies nappies (Size 2 - these where 1/3rd off, so £3.98 and £2 voucher off, made them pretty cheap). And, of course, a watermelon....

OH made some pasta with left overs from the fridge, so dinner done and eaten. It is just the desert left! I better go and chop up my watermelon!

If I am not back, have a lovely Christmas all!!!!!

Good luck, Kira, let us know how you get on! And forget the crib - if it comes to it, I am sure you will find where yo put baby for an hour or so whilst DH builds the cot!

Hello honies, I'm home!! Just got back from the hospital. They hooked me up on the monitoring machine for an hour or so. It was kind of cool seeing beanie's heart trace, and i had to press a button every time i felt bean move- she moved ALOT! Unfortunately for me, the trace picked up absolutely NO signs of uterine movement, not even a braxton hicks so doesnt look like anything is very imminent! My BP was higher than usual on all 3 readings, each lower than the one before, but not high enough to worry about today. There was a slight trace of protein in my wee, but not alot, so again no action today. However i'm seeing the consultant tomorrow anyway, and they will check BP and protein again then, and send me back up to day assessment again if needed.

I signed up for the sainsburys one last night along with doing an asda and tesco one.:T
been feeling very tired today, got inlaw problems at the moment who are not worthy of having a relationship of our children and oh wants to give his grandparents another try, said grandparents were the ones who wanted us to abort our ds1 and responce for announcing this second preganancy was ....your joking!:( all because i dont get on with their daughter (oh aunty) they are late or dont turn up to ds1 birthdays and i just cant be bothered to try and give them a go so been very stressed about that as oh keeps saying they are getting old (only 60) my grandparents are 75 and treat all 11 of the grandchildren the same, they on the other hand only treat 2 grandchildren like this and sod the other 8 of them.

anyway enough with the little rant, i just want to enjoy this pregnancy, and leave them to it but feeling sorry for oh but the kids come first just getting fed up now.

Last of the crimbo shop has been done today.

Glad to hear all appears ok Kira, even if nothing exciting is happening either! It's only a matter of time...

I've had a fair amount of baby moving since I got home from work, so am not too worried any more. I'm going to mention it to the midwife when I go for my appointment tomorrow though.

I'm so bored this evening. OH is out having Christmas drinks with some mates of his. I've had my dinner and really can't be bothered sitting up watching tv any more so think I'm going to head off to bed. What a life I lead... :rotfl:

Well I have had a fantastic day of money saving/being naughty.

You may remember, a few weeks ago me saying I'd sent away my phone to Boots recycle and they give you the value in points, and then you collect them at the little card machines, so my phone was worth £51 so off I sent it, happy as. Went in to store today, to collect my points and they've made a mistake and doubled them up, so instead of £51, they'd put on £102! wasn't actually planning on spending the £50 but I thought frig this, they might be gone by tomorrow, so treated me and Mr Gilly to a bottle of Chanel each, which is my absolute favourite, but I can never justify spending the cost of it, on myself but decided to throw caution to the wind and do it today. Even happier as I'd spent £100+ points last week on everyones Christmas presents and had been left with none.

Also took my M&P voucher and managed to get a half price growbag (is that what they're called? Sleep pods whatever) and 2 crib sheets.

I also went to Mothercare and got my little box to keep baby toiletries in that matches our baby bath, a changing mat (finally) and perineal gel  Best get cracking on that soon, it'l be a laugh I guess, as no idea how I'm supposed to stretch to do it.

Got my nipple cream (lansinoh) and managed to pick up 3 travel bottles for 77p, incase anyone needs them for hospital to put things in, I had picked up all the minis of shampoo, etc at £1 odds each as I don't have much room in my bag and then OH spotted these, bargain, so I can just empty in from the big bottles I have at home. So saved me a few quid.

So happy now, got everything we could possibly need for baby I think, I've still to get a nighty for labour, but planning on doing that after Christmas when the pj departments of shops aren't as busy.

OH's final Christmas present came today, and I just have to wrap it up, just need to find the bloody sellotape.

Went to Chiquitos tonight for tea and had yummy churros for dessert, gave me acid reflux now though, my own fault for being a greedy moo.

Jenjade Lirin said her hips are completely better now, SPD was gone as soon after the birth so hope that cheers you up, she said to say the end is in sight for you.

Kira glad everything went ok at the hospital and beanie is fine. Also 2 fingers up to your In laws, how bloody rude and inconsiderate this close to Christmas, I'd be fuming if I was you, but hopefully you and OH have a lovely day together.

Also think my bump has fallen, can get my maternity bras on the tightest hook now and they're still a bit big. I swear (TMI alert) baby head butted my bladder and a bit of wee came out :o the shame!! So maybe he's getting organised for eviction. I'll gladly take him anytime after 35 weeks now.

Man what a mammoth post, was all a bit mememe too :( I do apologise, Gin have a nice Christmas with your folks xxxx

Wow Gilly, you have had a good day! :D I'm glad your week has turned out a lot better after the rocky start!

Don't blame you for spending the points, I'd have done the same! I usually treat myself to perfume with my points when I've got enough. Although the bottle OH got me for Christmas last year is still going strong so don't think I'll need any for a while. And YAY for the other present finally turning up! Was that the thing that was dispatched on the 14th?

Our fuzzi bunz arrived today! Forgot to say earlier... I have spent half the evening playing with them, although I have (so far) managed to resist practicing putting them on a teddy bear... :D Our county council do £25 cashback if you spend £50 or more on cloth nappies so have sent off my claim form to get that too.

Oh and I also got my bargainous muslin cloths and other bits from Tesco... don't think there's anything left for us to get either. Oh actually, there is. I haven't got my Cheeky Wipes yet but the woman I bought the nappies from said they're changing the boxes and the new ones haven't been released yet, so have to wait until the new year to get those.
