And the cat that counts our house as his own - he will wait for us by the door as we come home from work, hide in the evening so we don't kick him out at night, he actually gets out from the hiding place at about 5am and meows quietly by our bed to be let out. Our cats doesn't mind him much - actually in the morning will sit by the patio door pretending to want to go out so we let him in! We still don't know whom he belongs to, but he looks taken care off, couple of times had collar on, and is so soft, that my OH just loves him! He is a so cheeky - just like Felix from the ad!

I wasn't planning on using the medela for feeding, more for storage, but the bags probably seem like a better idea, hmmm. Will have to get some now, how exactly do you get the milk into them? (that's probably a really stupid question)
Or you pump into the bottle that fits your pump and just pour it into the bags. The bags are quite stiff so it's easy to do, not like pouring into a value sandwich bag or anything! When I was pregnant Lansinoh were giving away 2 free milk bags. They aren't cheap though - more than £5 for the Tesco own brand. Think there was 40 in the pack. I soon gave up on pumping, never used a single freezed bag in the end because she wouldn't take the bottle.

  • Beautiful kitty and FAR more pleasant to look at than that breastfeeding cat!!:p We ended up agreeing to looking after some school pets after other parents dropped out so in our playroom at the moment we have a guinea pig,a syrian hamster,a gerbil and a rabbit(our own) plus two other hamsters(schools)..add our 4 cats and our rottie and it's like a petting zoo in here:p
Ok so I have run a bath, have the immac at the ready for umm lady garden(not that I can see it but hey ho!! :rotfl:).Hubby is going to supervise me shaving my legs(could be risky as my ankles/calves came up like balloons yesterday after a few mentally busy days),I have a conditioning treatment ready for my hair whilst I defuzz.
Umm hospital bag packed and ready, car seat waiting, phone charged...just going to make up the cot ready.
Oh wow, after over 4 years of trying for this bump, early losses,a later loss, month after damn month of negative ov and preg tests, invasive tests galore, clomid taken and over 5 stone of fat being lost..I am having my baby tomorrow..omg I am so excited!!!:j

Helpful, thanks, to you too Kira.

I worry about coping with breastfeeding because my hospital is so keen on no over night stays if possible  I hope I can manage before I'm kicked out :o

Good Luck Bump, hope it all goes as smoothly and as quickly as possible for you. :)

Good luck boldies and nearly there's!

Bit of a weird question coming up, Im trying not to be to detailed, my sister complained about urinating after having her son. She found it painful for about 2 weeks, she did have some stitchs but isn't very clear on were/ what happened. I'm wondering if a shewee would be worth putting in my hospital bag, would it help with this sort of problem?

I don't think it would Carmilla, I think it's basically just open wounds and acidic urine. It'l hurt, but people say if you drink as much fluid as you can it dilutes the urine more so less pain, or some people have a cup of water at the ready to sort of throw over the area during the wee. Hope this helps.
